This is happening since last insider update and I think it's not strictly related to whatsapp.

It would have saved everyone a lot of time if you had made it clear from the start that you are running an Insider Build. It is perfectly normal for Insider Builds to show all kinds of bugs, which is the whole point of the Insider program - along with collecting this feedback through the correct dedicated channels for that, which is why there is a dedicated Insider Program section within this community along with the Feedback Hub on your phone. Posting your Insider problems in the board dealing with Production releases is a waste of your time and of everyone trying to assist you. Next time please post in the correct forum section.

Nice and easy man! Unfortunately nobody is giving a **** into feedback hub which is full of requests about this issue. The typical Microsoft support's answer is "please, use b2x app in order to indentify the issue". Unfortunately b2x is a windows phone 8.1 app (yeah, the silverlight problem!) therefore it won't start. So please, can you point me to the right forum section for this kind of problems?

Anyway, I think I've found a temporary solution. Shutdown the phone, remove sim card, bootup windows without sim card (now the apps should be working fine) then shoutdown the phone, put in the sim card, bootup windows and the apps should still working fine. Repeat the procedure every now and then at app locking occurrence...

A simpler solution for similar approach has been suggested elsewhere - simply switch to Flight mode and back again instead of taking the SIM out.
