This is happening since last insider update and I think it's not strictly related to whatsapp.

It would have saved everyone a lot of time if you had made it clear from the start that you are running an Insider Build. It is perfectly normal for Insider Builds to show all kinds of bugs, which is the whole point of the Insider program - along with collecting this feedback through the correct dedicated channels for that, which is why there is a dedicated Insider Program section within this community along with the Feedback Hub on your phone. Posting your Insider problems in the board dealing with Production releases is a waste of your time and of everyone trying to assist you. Next time please post in the correct forum section.

Full device recovery... twice! It worked for some time but then it's stuck again. Randomly it comes back working smoothly, then goes stuck  again many times during a week. This is happeninh since last insider update and I think it's not strictly related to whatsapp.

I used windows device recovery tool and reinstalled everything. WhatsApp is working fine, now. I also see there are a few older apps that I had on my phone are not available anymore.

It took about six hours for me to reinstall everything. The install takes time because it is updating from your original OS version to the current version.

A few ways to make it go faster is to remember that every time you upgrade your apps will need to upgrade also. Go to the store app after the install and cancel all the app upgrades until you finish all the OS upgrades. It may seem like a lot of work but it is faster to cancel them than to let them install.

Also, earlier versions of "Windows insider program" is an app that needs to be installed. Each time you update, make sure Windows insider preview builds are set to "FAST". Once you get the most recent update then you can change the setting.

    Good luck

I am sorry to hear :(

You did a full Device Recovery or just a Reset Phone?

It's been more than 72 hours and all Apps are still working here, running latest build 15254.158
