Reboot and see if your desktop is normal or not.  If not, open an elevated command prompt and type

net user administrator active/no to  reverse the command you previously entered.

Hi Wayne.

I've done what you suggest in your post: used the net user administrator active/yes command.

This now allows me to log in as Admin, but the desktop is completely different. So, from my point of view, I'm not at the same place, if you know what I mean?

Because, my question would be, what's the point of me setting myself up as the Administrator, in the first place then?

And I couldn't see all the items that were on my normal desktop.

However, I will try that again, and see what happens.

The thinking is pretty simple.

Something was working, and now it's not.

I want to find out why it's not working. So, if that's 'fixation', then I'm comfortable with that.

I've tried as much as I could, to find out why it's not working. Having not succeeded, I thought I would ask on this forum.

I'm logged in as an Administrator, and yet:

I keep getting a message (if I use the MRT command) that the System Administrator has blocked this App.

Or

If I run the tool manually, noting happens. The tool doesn't run and there's no indication as to why it's not run.

So, I'm trying to find out WHY it's not working.

I could also ask, how does one know whether the tool has run in the background?

Does the system give any sort of indication that the tool has run?

I know that people have said on this forum that if there's a problem that you will be notified. But, how does one know that the tool has run?

So, it's also a case of trying to build knowledge.

Primary problem is the computer does not recognize RikDatta as system administrator.....it previously did!  We are trying to restore the administrator designation he previously had.  His computer seems to have lost it.

Running the MSRT again, was simply to determine if he had regained administrator privileges post June 2017 update.  When he runs the MSRT, he is denied access because he is not recognized as Administrator..  

We are seeking to remedy that problem..... his Administrator status......the computer does not recognize him as Administrator....it previously did!

Any help with this matter is welcomed.

Ok. I get what you are saying however, I must ask, what is with the obsession to run the MRT manually a second time, are you expecting it to find something the second time around that it did not find the first time that it ran?

Are you having a problem with your device and are hoping for a solution to come from the next months issue of the MRT?

Do you realize that the MRT is pretty much nothing other than something MS has incorporated into their auto-update "service" to protect their servers as much as they are presumably protecting you?

You have stated that you are using an AV program while apparently, purposely, not identifying it, is this true and if so, why?

I could go on but I think that you may now get my drift, I really would like to know what your thinking is on this.

In my half century plus on this planet sometimes I still feel the need to ask such questions as situations arise, go figure.
