Great write-up Rob, very thorough and informative.
This confirms what I had suspected was the case concerning the files infected counter showing that X number of files had been detected as the scan was in progress but then the end result of the scan was "No infection found."
As a point of interest, below is a copy of the log entry for the full MSRT scan that I had run and was referring to in my previous reply on June 12th. (This scan had shown a count of 10 files infected at approximately the 75% point of the scan).
