Windows 7 annoying "Unsupported Hardware" pop ups

I don't have neither KB4012218 nor KB4015549 installed. Checked via: Control Panel / Programs / Uninstall a Program / View Installed Updates and also via wmic qfe | find “4012218”. Yet I have the same problem. Any ideas?

You still have not addressed the issue.  Why doesn't MS issue a statement that they are no longer updating 7 or 8?  Even on the M$ website, W10 only has a 2.6 rating from certified users as of 2 weeks ago.  Fine, if you love 10, great, I'm happy for you.  But I don't.  If Gates and Intel were not going to service 7 or 8, they should have let their customers know before they purchased the hardware.  It's called free market choice.  I'm not sure what part of that you don't understand!

I think you'll find that most users do not hate Windows 10. Yes it has issues and bugs but Windows 7 still has these, hence the updates. Time to get over your hang-ups and upgrade to Windows 10, the only known cure to this problem.

Experienced users of OS's - like over 30 years - do not have  "hang-ups". They have nothing to "get over". It is simply experience. They are able to compare in an unbiased way.  They care what the date is or what thew name is. They just want there system to work smoothly.  Imagine if your car acted like W10!!!!

The core of any good, well designed, operating system is surely functionality not some feeble cosmetic so called "update". I'm afraid the general public, now a days, is easily fooled by "smoke and mirrors".

I agree James.  I have tried several times to load a critical review on B&H's website, where I purchased all of my component's, and they have yet to allow it on their site.  They have responded several times via email, and each time I try again to upload the complaints about this Intel chip, they figure a way not to allow it.  I love B&H and have been buying from them for 25 years, but the fix is in on this one.  They probably figure it's best not to piss off M$ or Intel.

The lovers of 10 can say what they want about how good M$ is, but that still does not mean that Gates should be "hiding" the fact that he won't service 7 or 8 anymore.  He should be proud of his business decisions and announce his lack of support for them on his site and on the packaging in bold letters, so his long time customers can make the decision to purchase new hardware.  This is false advertising at it's worst.

You'll find most users who do not hate W10 don't have a clue about OSes and are only casual users.

You'll find that most users who hate W10 are at least Power Users who have had issues with W10.

And losing WMC is not a "hang-up".
