Windows 7 annoying "Unsupported Hardware" pop ups

Hi i am getting the Same Error but gone through the Installed Updates history did not see KB4012218  installed in system. please suggest for next POA if u have

While all mobo brands decide to still support windows 7 up to the last models, MS decide to shoot you to your back!

For stability purposes? For system performance? Absolutely not.

Anyway, since the previuos Intel 7th series CPU, MS will block windows update for everything, also for your peripherals with the monthly cumulative protection updates.

Now the point is no more one update not to be done to fix the pop up message, the point is that pop up will be restored for ANY cumulative security update.

As stated before, void the Hardware not supported popup means to DON'T INSTALL ANY SECURITY UPDATE, it means that your Windows will lack of something, not just the popup.

It's not just the annoying popup, in fact, it seems to go away with time.  It's the fact that I can no longer get "critical" updates.  I also just had to replace my Logitech G11 keyboard with a newer G510.  I can't get the G1 button to work in Windows 7 on my new computer, but it will work on my older one.  MS is "blocking" the updated Logitech software because they want me to upgrade to W10.  So I can no longer use the G1 button, which is the most critical button I use when doing CAD.  Not only will the Logitech upgrade for the G510 not load, but it freezes my screen everytime I've tried to run it.  I have to do a forced shut down to get back up.

I agree that Gates doesn't give a rats behind about his long time customers, and we are all stuck with W10, whether we want it or not.  Hell, I'd give the greedy soab the $120. to just let me continue to use 7 for a few more years.  I don't care about his "improvements", what I care about is being able to use my older hardware and software so I can run my company and stop fing with this dam software issue.

I think the chances of Microsoft making any enhancements or fixes to Windows 7 (like a "don't remind me again" button are close to zero so forget about that.

Windows 7 will run just fine on your i7 CPU - Microsoft has just created an obstacle to your system receiving updates in the forms of a couple KBs.

I'm not 100% sure since I don't have the problem but I think the annoyance will be "fixed" if you uninstall these updates:

KB4015549

KB4012218

Then if you see those KBs offered again, right click and Hide them.

This is why folks need to take control of Windows Update by changing the Settings to "Never check for updates".

Now you are in control of your system and Windows Update instead of Microsoft being in control.  It is up to you to periodically check for updates yourself and look at each one and you decide if you want to install the update or not.

"Periodically" could be at least after the second and sometimes fourth Tuesday of each month since that is when MS regularly releases security patches which you can read about here:

Hopefully more folks can let us know of uninstalling those two updates "fixes" the problem.

If you have your system set to install updates automatically you are going to keep having problems, especially if Microsoft sends you a hardware driver update that sometimes creates a no boot scenario.

I just installed windows 7 in January 2018 and Microsoft still hasn't fixed this issue but i didn't have either of those updates in my system all they needed was to put a "check mark box to say don't show this again"  so Microsoft really doesn't care about their customers unless it hurts their pocket book.  So anyone reading this use this url to a tiny little program made exclusively for this annoying pop up which in my case comes up multiple times with PC turned on so anyone reading this i no longer get this pop up and no issues with this program found here.    https://github.com/zeffy/wufuc

I got rid of this message unsupported hardware by deleting update KB4054518. hope this helps.
