Windows 7 annoying "Unsupported Hardware" pop ups

I have been trolling this forum/ community for weeks now to find a solution to my problem , not sure how I ended up in the thread

 I work on the basis " if it ain't broke don't fix it"

 we all know Big Bill Gates built his empire on the basis of - " if it ain't broke UPGRADE it!"

 that way you get nice big fat bugs to squash that cost you time and money

 this thread seems to be a real bitch session rather than a solutions one

 as far as updates go my pc is set to tell me if there are updates to download I can then go look at them and make my own mind up to install or ignore mostly I accept the security ones and ignore the rest. I know I sure do not need to d/l Spanish or chinse character sets :0 Pity the haven't released one for pure 'STRINE' as_she_is_spoke 'erein Aus.  :-)

I got tired of windows  10 on my new Dell to the point I broke the cd into as many pieces as I could, enjoyed the hell out of it. I put windows 7 on it and its fine. Dell said I couldnt do that, I told them maybe they cant and did it anyway. I dont understand why MS thinks its so cool to revamp everything every time they come out with a new system. When I cant run windows 7 anymore that means I cant fly fsx as well and I will move to linux because I will not tolerate the attitude of we think this is best for you, my attitude is I dont give a rats posterior what you think is best for me this is what I want and I will do it this why here or someplace else. That popup unsupported processor  has to be referring to something other than the processor because an I5 or an I7 does not magically become something different just because you want to run a different version of Windows and yes by the way you can get around it just fine.  No its not an unsupported processor, its an unsupported OS! I wish MS would just go away of get back to giving the public what they want.

I support dozens of dental offices, and most of them use intraoral x-ray sensors that will not work with Windows 10, so new systems I build have to use Windows 7. Each of these sensors are eight to twelve thousand dollars a piece, and for an office to have to replace five or six sensors because Microsoft wants to force us to update to Windows 10 is beyond unreasonable. There needs to be a button to universally block updates that are not compatible with Windows 7. My clients think I'm selling them defective hardware because of this message.

Not sure how many times I have to say this, and no offence intended Andrew, but it's not the stupid popup I'm mad about, it's the fact that none of us are getting any critical updates which directly affect the way our computers function.  This blocking of any updates is what's really pissing me off.  I can't even update my new gaming Logitech key board because M$ is blocking it.  You can download the update, but you can't open the software.  My $3k Xerox copier won't function because I can't download and open the update for it.  This also is making all of our computers far more vulnerable to security issues.  This is how you spell "greed" Microsoft style.

I found that you have to uninstall and stop all of the monthly security rollup patches I went back as far as May 2017 and when it installed that update, the message came back. Example uninstall Nov 2017 monthly update and hide it prompts you to download the October 2017 one and starts the cycle again. This is a moving target of KB's to uninstall is the point.

Microsoft need to stop being childish with this warning.
