You can get updates by plugging the OS drive to another pc with "supported" hardware. This proves that the processors are not unsupported, it is just Microsoft being consumer-unfriendly as usual.

I, just like most users hate Windows 10 for so many issues and bugs. It has usability issues and so many problems that Windows support team chooses ignore despite multiple complaints. Microsoft knows this very well but they keep hush about all this. Now to add to it, Windows 7 (the best OS so far) keeps giving a warning that my Intel Core i7 (7700k) processor is not supported.
I'm sorry but Windows 10 is officially the **** and buggiest product I've ever used. And I'm never going to switch to it until every problem has been fixed. Please do something about these annoying "unsupported processor" pop ups. If this is not resolved soon I'm going to write an entire blog about this and I'm sure there are many users who feel the same. Now this is not a small issue and I suggest to take this at the highest priority.
Every user should be allowed to use whatever version of Windows that suits their needs and is comfortable to use.

2018-04-21T06:09:06+00:00 Update (Patch) KB4093113 must also check that the generation of your processor is compatible with Windows 7 and generate a message if it isn’t. I’m running Window 7 on an 8th generation Intel processor and I got the “Unsupported hardware” pop up after installing this patch. Uninstalling this patch and manually updating Windows seems to fix the problem.

2018-04-05T00:21:49+00:00 My i7 kaby lake, win7 is still running fine, getting updates. The file "wufuc_setup_x64.msi' was the key to the balloon.
I will never run bloated win 10 again. I'm currently running several systems looking for the 10 replacement. 2 linux and ReactOS. React while early in its development, loads pc programs natively. It runs fast on an old Dell about 12-15 years old. I run marine navigation programs and they run fine, also a photoshop replacement. I can even run video editing software on the Dell.
But to update my i7 still runs windows 7 fine, updates fine and my kid ran some games ok, too. MS will probably send some other fear mongering in the updates, but it will probably be fixable.
Microsoft needs to write a basic os without all the nerdy crap, spyware and uncontrolled updates or someone else will do it for them.

2018-04-04T04:32:07+00:00 If you using Kaby Lake or later generations, it may not receiving any updates due incompatible processors. Any laptops have built-in graphics CPU, some features will not work properly.
After support ended on January 2020, your computer will become vulnerable unless you can upgrade latest version of Windows.

2018-03-23T16:59:00+00:00 I am installing OEM 8.1 and after the second round of updates I get the unsupported hardware message with a RYZEN processor.
However, I have neither KB4015549 nor KB4012218.
I haven't been able to find anything specific to 8.1 for this problem. Like here, the only solutions have been for 7. What date were those 7 updates pushed so I can focus my search on my update list?
