Infineon TPM Professional Package can't be uninstalled

I keep getting a message when I try and update, stating that; Uninstall this app now because it isn't compatible with Windows 10.

I've searched under Add/Delete Programs, File locations on C: and any other locations such as temp files etc, and can not locate this folder/file anywhere on my computer. How do I uninstall this app when I can't find it?

Same here, I had an Infineon folder on my desktop inside a folder with all my motherboard drivers. When I deleted it, I was able to install the update with no problem.

If anyone has a problem locating the Infineon Folder on their PC, the "Everything" app from voidtools.com really helps as it searches in seconds through every single file and folder on the computer.

Same problem here... could not find any trace of Infineon on the computer.  Searched all files, hidden files, registry; downloaded the Everything app - it didn't find it either.  No  clue what to do next.

OK, I did 3 systems at the other location. Quad processor 8000 Elites.

One I renamed the swsetup directory xxxswsetup.

The others had a subdirectory under swsetup of protectools. I renamed that xxxprotecttools. There were several other subdirectories of swsetup that I did not rename.

I was able to update all 3 by doing this.

The update took a long time, downloading and rebooting several times with updates now occurring that were unable for a long time. Sometimes I had a report that an update failed, I rebooted, repeated the update, and it installed.

These systems were all refurbished ex-business PCs with clean recovery installs by vendors on Ebay. Some came to me as Win 7 machines that I did the free move to W-10 and some may have come as W-10, I don't remember.

Some PC's I built from scratch using HP recovery disks for Windows 7, then upgraded to Windows 10. I don't have issues with others, however, only the 8000 series.

    Good luck!

    Aha!!

The problem seems to be associated with the HP Protect Tools software package...

One PC that directory was under SWSetup and the other was directly under the C:/

I don't know if uninstalling Protect Tools will fix the issue, but renaming the directory allows updates to occur. Renaming them back may or may not prevent further updates. Time will tell!!

    OK.....

I could not find any reference to Infineon anywhere on my PCs...

    So.....

    Find the directory c:/SWSetup

Rename that directory xxxxxxx or anything you want to....

Run the Update. There will be several updates to do and reboots.

    Should run fine.

The first PC I tried I cut the directory and contents to a thumb drive, thereby deleting it.

    Update ran fine.

Didn't run any clean or optimizer SW beforehand.

I have 4 HP/Compaq PC's with this install problem (8000 Elite or similar, Intel dual processors), Windows 10 64bit Pro I've done this on so far.

Still going thru several reboots and update installs... not thru yet...

Some updates will report not completed but that means you need to reboot to install them.

Installs take some time. be patient.

4 systems updated! A couple more at a different location for tomorrow.

For some reason I cannot fathom, I keep getting replies from the people who use a third party tool. I wish to make it clear that I did not use that tool, as I do not believe in third party tools, however well they may be constructed. In this case removing a folder from sight does not need a specialist tool. Please do not let me know that you have used a third party tool, as this is a waste of your and my time. If you solved the problem the way I did (ie. not using a third party tool), good for you, no need to tell me, except that maybe others might benefit. If you have used a third party tool, support them in a way you think that is useful rather than telling me how great it was.........
