Moving Forza Horizon 3 Game Data To Another PC

Hi,

I have recently purchased Forza Horizon 3 on the Windows App Store on my Surface Pro 3. I downloaded it onto my Surface Pro 3 because i have access to NBN (faster internet) at work where i was able to download the game within an hour or so.

I want to copy the game data to a USB so i can then install the game on my home pc. I was unable to download the game on my home pc as my interent would take a week to download.

I have tried moving the data using the in built windows function Settings>System>Apps & Features then selecting Froza Horizon 3 and select move to my USB, but i get an error message "We couldnt move Forza Horizon 3. The operation did not complete successfully. Try again in a bit. The error code is 0x80073d0b, in case you need it".

I then tried by taking ownership of the Windowsapp folder and finding the game data "Microsoft.OpusPG_1.0.10.2_x64__8werkyb3d8bbwe". But when i try to copy and paste it onto my usb (which has plenty of space and is formatted in NTFS) it keeps telling me i need to "provide administrator permission to copy to this folder" i select continue and then prompts "you need permission to perform this action".

Doe sanyone know how i can copy the game data for Forza Horizon 3 to my home pc as i cannot download 50GB from home.

    It takes 2 days to download 50GB on a typical internet connection and costs money.  I can transfer a 50GB Steam game from one PC to another PC in the same house in 10 minutes for free.

    Windows Store is broken without this basic functionality.

    This is not a suitable response, the OP is asking a way to BACKUP the already downloaded game.

    I'm on a limited bandwidth connection, downloading 50GB means a WHOLE WEEK for me, it's not fun at all, plus I completely destroy the connection for the rest of the family while doing that so it's a nightmare.

    Microsoft MUST provide a means to do a backup to their store BIG games.

    How are we supposed to re-download Gears of War 4 for example?.  Do you understand that there are people outside silicon valley that does NOT have huge internet connections and are actually PAYING for the games?.

    Do like Steam !.  Make backup possible !

    All you have to do is backup the SystemAppData folder under these two locations for Apex and FH3 respectively.:

    Forza Apex: AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.ApexPG_8wekyb3d8bbwe

    Forza Horizon 3: AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.OpusPG_8wekyb3d8bbwe

    FH3 game data is about 100MB and Apex is only about 15MB.  They do both grow over time, but they are very manageable at this size.  The game itself can be anywhere but these are the data folders.

    The question is regarding backing up the 50GB in total files required to play the game.

    Just to update on the whole situation i ended up just taking my desktop computer to work and downloaded the game there on the NBN.

    In response to Carlos Tin, there is a mechanism to copy windows store apps under storage settings, but unfortunately (i believe this is a  game developer issue) it will not copy and errors.

    Here too. It's a really nightmare, i have 3 gamer PCs at home and is insane to need a download in everyone.
