Msvcp140.dll missing

I just installed the WordPress app but it will not start because it says the MSVCP140.dll is missing.

Where can I get its replacement?

Do not worry we will help you with this issue.

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ missing system files. Try the troubleshooting steps below and check if it helps.

**Step 1:**I suggest you to download and install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 and check if it resolves the issue.

**Step 2:**Also, I suggest you to run SFC scan and check if it helps.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. If a Windows Resource Protection (WRP) file is missing or is corrupted, Windows may not behave as expected.

Follow the below steps:

  1. Right click on the Start button, click on Command Prompt (Admin).
  2. Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit Enter.
  3. After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

    Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 says a newer version is installed, so it can't install it.

    Silly little thing, Microsoft friend, but whatever you have beyond this link does not list Windows 10 as a requirement...  Are we sure we're talking about the right thing?

    Just step 1. is enough.

    The problem is, your link is for vc++ 2010 not 2015. So just install vc++ 2015 x86 and x64 and its done. Now its workin for me...

    Instal both x86 and x64:
