Total time is wrong for Microsoft Solitaire Event Challenges

This is an ongoing glitch with the tournament times. I'm really surprised that Microsoft has not designed a patch for it. I have logged out of game, logged off PC, and still it happens. I was playing earlier so I decided to test it and sure enough it added 5 hours to my time (the time that I was not playing). There is no actual shut down timer option which seems like it could be an easy fix, but I'm not about to start DOSing around with my hard drive over this, potentially exposing myself to malware, when it's clearly not my problem to solve it's the gamemakers'.  It is disheartening especially if one likes to play against the clock/oneself.  I know it's happening to other players because no one plays for 13+ hours.

 This is the closest thing to a forum that MS has for this problem, it's been going on for a long time. Today was the first time I've seen an "Independent Advisor" with the windows logo.  A lot of us are playing because it's a straightforward game and may not be so tech savvy.  As for restarts, I've done those as well. It doesn't seem to affect their clock - maybe because it's being stored in the Cloud.

I know I have written a few times now to complaint, but today January, 30 2019 I went to play Solitaire Collection Game again. (as I use to every 2nd day), 

and I was a bit 'lighter' as I just had read a complaint from another user/member of this Microsoft Game, and somehow thought, it would work ok ....the bug would have gone,

but no.

I played 2-3 games out of 16, went off, logged out from xbox and the pc entirely and the day went to evening.

I was too busy and tired to play.

Late at night I wanted to continue and after 1 game of playing, my time was more than 10 HOURS!!

So it means, that eventhough I logged out from xbox beta and closed down the pc, the game-timer still was counting.

How come??

I got so mad and angry that I deleted the game, but it didn't change a thing, after this new downloading.

I was so shocked...felt so fooled,

I just had to leave the game.

What can I do now?

I'm busy here in my home...can't sit for 2-3 hours straight.....what shall I do?

It will be such a miss.....to not play anymore.

But really...how fun is a competition, if the time always is wrong?

And why does it work ok sometimes....I haven't had real problems since summer and a few times this autumn 2018.

Can somebody please, help me out here?

It happened again today.

I played less than 2 hours...left for  many hours, logged off in xbox (beta), logged off the pc, closed down entirely and when I returned late at night,

I was charged with more than 10 hours!

I deleted the game.

I downloaded again.

Nothing had changed.

I haven't got enough pc-knowledge to start this Powershell-thingy...I just wouldn't dare.

Isn't there any other way to get the time right...in this game-comepetition??

ARE YOU DEAF, BLIND OR JUST IGNORANT TO WHAT IS HAPPENING, DEAR MICROSOFT?

So ok, it's easier to make this forum where members can join problems?....

ps. I have already written a complaint this night ...in fact it is morning...past 07:00 am

and because it's that late...no sleep at all,

my writings sounds even more worse than usual.....but I'm so frustrated because of this.

It was such lil'fun to have, playing this game,

and now it's just useless.....(I'm not hooked on hours and minuttes, but I feel so ashamed and foolish, as my time is shown for all to see),

and it's so strange, 'cause few days ago...I ended up with normal time, eventhough I left now and then.

Sorry, for this mess of words.

Blame it on Microsoft and their games.. ;((

I'm afraid there really is no answer and no forthcoming solution from Microsoft in the near future. I've begun to focus more on the daily challenges and the Star Club where you can take your time and not have to compete with anyone but yourself. I'll play the tournament with the knowledge that my time can be completely wrong at times just to see how many I can complete, because completion can be worth more than time in certain cases. If one has a higher score with a high time, one can still rank above those with a lower score.  I realize this is cold comfort and it's a shame to have such a nice little pastime completely messed up, but I also play some other games online that take the pressure off of this one. If you are interested, try searching the internet for other solitaire games.  I also like one Mah-Johngg game that does not have a timer. that's at http://www.addictinggames.com/puzzle-games/mahjongg.jsp. you might need adobe flash for it but that's all. and they are not always easily solved regardless of what they are titled, but it is a meditative sport for me in any case.

 I have to limit my stress over one game because it doesn't help me relax, which is the reason why I play online games in the first place.  diamond solitaire is seriously flawed and no one at Microsoft cares, that's all I can say. I hope that you feel better down the line.  So when the game asks me if I want to see my status from playing the High Road tournament today I may just say NO. because it added 7 hours to my time while I was busy living my life. <3

Hi All,

Yesterdays post mentioned a second "X" that was a mistake.

Yesterday I played one game "Hard Road" I wrote down 10:47 min sec.  Today's results, said my time was 11:15 min sec.  All I did was X out of MS solitaire.  Appears to be 'intermittent' problem. 

This forum seems a waste of time, no moderator or MS help here, this might be better, but it's a pain!

This post gave a good description of the problem, the reply from a MS 'ambassador' said good discussion at (he gave a link), that did not provide, anything!

I responded to the nothing link, asking questions, told link was not helpful.

Then someone from MS came on tried that link, which led to ask an 'ambassador' where you could not ask any question, but learn more about other games.

Perhaps pester, explore above links, maybe you'll get farther than I did.  Useful info pls post here.  At this Rodney Dangerfield forum.

Also.  Try playing one game in an event, note time to complete, next day view score.  If problem try ccleaner tick "game explorer" then clean, next day check score.  Next play one game note time, X out of MS Solitaire.  Turn the computer off (best when off, unplug from wall, wait 20 min. then replug it boot up.  Check next day time for that event

ccleaner is free & safe, & should be run like once per week regardless.  'game explorer is not ticked by default'
