Total time is wrong for Microsoft Solitaire Event Challenges

Yesterday I had a time of 11+ hours for time played on The Hard Road.  I realized that it might be my wifi connection that racks up the extra time. So now I have to remember to disconnect from wifi after closing out the game, before shutting down.  I'm hoping this will help.  I was in the game for about an hour in the am, times were correct, had to shut down and take care of some work for several hours. didn't play again til the evening. Also what can really foul a person up is if when you complete a tournament challenge it says, we're having trouble connecting.... try again or cancel. once you hit cancel, it seems like it thinks you are still connected. (sort of like failing the challenge) doubly frustrating because you already beat it.

My experience is similar to the other postings. So, as of today (8/11/2018) the problem remains. The times posted are not for times actually in the game, but are elapsed times from the start of a hand (a game) through to the "continue" button appearance. If you quit a game, go back to home and shut down Solitaire and later come back and start the game again, you will still get the elapsed time from the first time you played that hand. Do they really expect 300,000 players to start an event and not ever have to leave a hand prior to completing the entire event? There should be "pause" and "continue" controls (not the same "continue" as at the end of a hand).

That's my two cents worth.

This seems to be an ongoing problem.  Hopefully Microsoft can do something to resolve this. I now check the times while I'm playing and while there aren't as many hours added, the times are still off from what I'm reading on solve times.  I also disconnect my tablet from the internet so that it really can't run the game the same way when I'm not playing. Seems to have helped, but won't work on a PC.

it just is pretty unfair, it must be forbidden to have a good night sleep or take a flight or have a dinner. You're supposed to play the event just in one time...

No...….it should count the time PLAYED IN THE EVENT

It's not just that anymore. The times I play in game are inflated. Yesterday I had six minutes in game time and it added up to 12 minutes and just kept compounding from there.  I'm pretty certain it's doing that to other players from the times I see on the leaderboards.  It frustrates and disgusts me that MS cannot keep track of the time.  Some day maybe I'll hit #1 but it won't be possible until the times are correctly recorded.  Some times I have my suspicions about players that can do 30 solitaires in under 60 minutes.
