Total time is wrong for Microsoft Solitaire Event Challenges

I know I have written a few times now to complaint, but today January, 30 2019 I went to play Solitaire Collection Game again. (as I use to every 2nd day), 

and I was a bit 'lighter' as I just had read a complaint from another user/member of this Microsoft Game, and somehow thought, it would work ok ....the bug would have gone,

but no.

I played 2-3 games out of 16, went off, logged out from xbox and the pc entirely and the day went to evening.

I was too busy and tired to play.

Late at night I wanted to continue and after 1 game of playing, my time was more than 10 HOURS!!

So it means, that eventhough I logged out from xbox beta and closed down the pc, the game-timer still was counting.

How come??

I got so mad and angry that I deleted the game, but it didn't change a thing, after this new downloading.

I was so shocked...felt so fooled,

I just had to leave the game.

What can I do now?

I'm busy here in my home...can't sit for 2-3 hours straight.....what shall I do?

It will be such a miss.....to not play anymore.

But really...how fun is a competition, if the time always is wrong?

And why does it work ok sometimes....I haven't had real problems since summer and a few times this autumn 2018.

Can somebody please, help me out here?

This is an ongoing glitch with the tournament times. I'm really surprised that Microsoft has not designed a patch for it. I have logged out of game, logged off PC, and still it happens. I was playing earlier so I decided to test it and sure enough it added 5 hours to my time (the time that I was not playing). There is no actual shut down timer option which seems like it could be an easy fix, but I'm not about to start DOSing around with my hard drive over this, potentially exposing myself to malware, when it's clearly not my problem to solve it's the gamemakers'.  It is disheartening especially if one likes to play against the clock/oneself.  I know it's happening to other players because no one plays for 13+ hours.

 This is the closest thing to a forum that MS has for this problem, it's been going on for a long time. Today was the first time I've seen an "Independent Advisor" with the windows logo.  A lot of us are playing because it's a straightforward game and may not be so tech savvy.  As for restarts, I've done those as well. It doesn't seem to affect their clock - maybe because it's being stored in the Cloud.

@melissa use windows search type in 'powershell' it's a spiffed up DOS screen, where commands can be typed

@mariann You tried & that did not help? How did you test?  I thought that time issue was unique to event challenges.

Does this game have a dedicated 'forum', to resolve issues, if this is it I'm surprised at the lack of moderator input.

After thought, worth trying:

At Break time close game, reboot, or "poweroff" machine, start machine after break

After closing game run free ccleaner > applications > 'tick' 'game explorer'   mine is currently not ticked, wait hour or two, & see if time was added.

It didn't solve my problem, but at least - now I know it's not me (I've been down and sad, angry...'cause it happens when - finally I'm sure, that NOW the problem is over.) It happened a few times during 2018, too.

Latest game: I had a time that showed 1.32.00 (or something like that), I logged out - (I had learned my lesson, I thought), closed the pc entirely and went away for about 3 hours.

When I returned the game had added 3 hours to my game.......what a knock in the head....and heart!

I will still play, but not with a happy face (last time I ended up with stommach-pain because of this frustating strange timer-issue....thinking it was me, going nuts.

I don't have the great pc-knowledge and I don't know how to fix it (this powershell-thingy that was mentioned as a suggestion how to solve the problem).

I will wait and see.

Stay put on the chair and play....but damn hard to sit here during all 30 games (oh well, sometimes 20 and 16), without a break.
