Total time is wrong for Microsoft Solitaire Event Challenges

Okay!  Just played one easy Tri Peaks (tri peaks event) time 1:38 min sec, closed game, tomorrow will See Results.

I play by the name WeltyBark15426, best finish 10th, about 20 top 25.  Easiest game for me FreeCell, then Spyder, toughest is TriPeaks.  I've made up my own do's & don't s, for each game.

Good luck on the timer & see ya, at the tournament.  I'll check back a few times for info & help if needed

Over at Xbox, I had a chat session, with Carlos (MS support, for xbox on win10).  I explained, the MS Solitaire EVENTS (every other day), that the Timer for the event would keep running, even with the game closed, next day's results, would be a highly inflated time.

I did the following:

windows key + x choose "powershell admin"

Type in exactly the following

1.  Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted

2.  Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register  "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

do not include the (1. or 2.) only shows two commands, do number 1 then number 2.

at each command you will be prompted for yes type Y  <enter>  This unrestricts your machine so the next command (number 2) will work

after entering the command for #2 I believe I just pressed <enter>

You will see a buzz of activity, when done, it took my machine 2 -3 min to complete.  Command #2 re registers AppX.

These commands are on a previous post here page 3 I think, copy and paste

When its done.  you will see at the prompt c:\windows\system32: _

the underscore is to represent where you would type the next command. 

Reboot

Test by playing tomorrows Event, & see if the next day's "see results" is better.

If that does not work write a letter to Bill Gates, that would be my next step <kidding>

If times are stored in the cloud, the cloud must get those times from the PC, turning off, then unplug wait 20min or more.  Drains all the leftover electricity, from capacitors (storage device for electricity), this is definitely, more than "off".  The cloud cannot get info from the PC.  And next days results should be proper.   

Also I'm not on social media, but Twitter & FB, have dedicated MS Solitaire, sections, posting there, draws allot of attention & some work arounds are sure to be offered

Yesterdays post mentioned a second "X" that was a mistake.

Yesterday I played one game "Hard Road" I wrote down 10:47 min sec.  Today's results, said my time was 11:15 min sec.  All I did was X out of MS solitaire.  Appears to be 'intermittent' problem. 

This forum seems a waste of time, no moderator or MS help here, this might be better, but it's a pain!

This post gave a good description of the problem, the reply from a MS 'ambassador' said good discussion at (he gave a link), that did not provide, anything!

I responded to the nothing link, asking questions, told link was not helpful.

Then someone from MS came on tried that link, which led to ask an 'ambassador' where you could not ask any question, but learn more about other games.

Perhaps pester, explore above links, maybe you'll get farther than I did.  Useful info pls post here.  At this Rodney Dangerfield forum.

Also.  Try playing one game in an event, note time to complete, next day view score.  If problem try ccleaner tick "game explorer" then clean, next day check score.  Next play one game note time, X out of MS Solitaire.  Turn the computer off (best when off, unplug from wall, wait 20 min. then replug it boot up.  Check next day time for that event

ccleaner is free & safe, & should be run like once per week regardless.  'game explorer is not ticked by default'
