Xbox One Wireless controller keeps disconnecting

Hello.

I recently bought a Xbox One Wireless controller with the PC wireless adapter.

The problem is... after I logon into Windows 10 the controller connects fine ONE TIME, then, after turning it off and then turning it on again, the controller connects (light stay still) for about 1 or 2 seconds and then the controller turns off again, I even can use it in those 1 or 2 seconds, showing that it successfully connected, but then it disconnects. The problem is only solved after I logoff and login again into Windows (don't need to do a full reboot).

My wired Xbox 360 controller works like a charm. Why do the next gen controller of Microsoft doesn't work well with a system developed by the same company? When I google it, it's problems all around. And judging by the behavior, it's a driver problem, not hardware, cause if it was a defective unit a simple logoff-login wouldn't fix it (and lots of other people wouldn't have similar problems).

    Guys just uninstall GeForce Experience, this was the solution for me. 

    Happens to me but I don't have Geforce Experience installed. I have Intel only, not nVidia.

    This still happens for me on Windows 10 Pro, Intel i5 Nuc (no nVidia graphics or Geforce Experience.)

    However this doesn't happen on 2nd PC which is also Windows 10 Pro, desktop Intel i7 with nVidia Geforce.

    Windows is patched up to date on both.

    As the OP says, the device works for a few seconds then disconnects or sleeps or something.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver from Device Manager.

    A reboot or re-login may help but only temporarily.

    My problem is completely gone. And I think this has something to do with the latest Windows Insider build (posted mine on the last reply).

    You said one of your pcs has the problem and the other don't. Maybe one of them is with the windows insider updates and the other is only with the regular updates. Check it out, please.

    If someone out of the Insider program and without the Creators update isn't having this problem, then this probably has nothing to do with Windows itself. And maybe really it's a Steam related problem or something else.

    Neither PC is running Windows Insider build.

    One PC has never had the issue, the other always has.

    It would be great if this is fixed in up coming Windows version. I had resorted to using an old corded 360 controller to preserve sanity.

    Haha! I did the same until now (that the Xbox One controller is working properly).

    But it's curious that just one pc works fine and both is running the same version of Windows. Both have Steam installed as well? Maybe you should identify the discerning point between them to try to isolate what's causing the problem. 

    In any case, if you ever happen to find out the culprit, please reply here so who is passing by with the same problem could fix it too.
