Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller Grips Falling Off

*15AUG2017*UPDATE: After receiving the promised "replacement controller" and asking if it was just the case for the controller or the case and the controller and being told that it was both. I found out the representative Len A. flat out lied to me about what I was getting, all to get a better survey, since all that I got, was the carrying case and nothing else. I talked to another agent after this, and they proceeded to try and go through everything again, and acted as if the prior agent was not in the wrong for lying to a customer. As it is, I still have my shoddy "Elite" controller that is extremely uncomfortable to hold since it is all bumpy from the expanded silicone.

*04AUG2017*UPDATE: I have since reached out to Microsoft support through the link provided below, and was told I would get a replacement controller. However, I am on my second Elite Controller at this point and it had the same issues after about 6 months of use. This is the one that I am currently awaiting the replacement, and hopefully the grips are not the same material!

I have had the Xbox One Elite Controller for only 6 months, and the grips have all but come off completely. There are no replacement parts for the grips on the controller, and according to your Support, my solution is to buy another controller... NO. I am also being told that my controller is out of warranty, since it is past 90 days, well isn't that just lovely, that you get to profit with a issue that is forcing others to buy another controller as the solution. I have been a supporter of Microsoft for quite some time, and I would understand the issue of the warranty, had it not been part of the controller that CANNOT be replaced. All I am asking for, is some new grips to adhere to the controller, or to send it in and get a replacement, of just the grips I don't care about getting a whole new controller to replace the grips... this is insanely shortsighted on Microsoft's part to have a grip that expands outside of the slot/groove for them. I have also included pictures to show off how the grips are extending past the grooves, and there is no way to "push" them back inside.

    That really sucks.  I have never had a single controller for more than 6 Months. I would go back onto the Xbox support chat and be Hostile with them.

    note to them that they advertised the controller as a top quality product and initially advertised it to have a 12 month warranty and then question why it is now only 1 month?

    hopefully you will get a customer support personnel that actually gives a damn.   you are right about the product needing a recall..  

    I have already got info from an EB Games manager here in Canada that was told the Elite Controllers where being Discontinued.  He did not state if it was being discontinued on a Xbox level or a EB Games level but noted they would be having a hard time honoring their own warranties on the device due to the Elite controller being Discontinued.  I have seen it on the shelf at the Microsoft store and asked about a protection plan and the sales guy was clueless.  

    Due to it being 13 Months old I don't know what you can do other than try again and bring up their false advertisement of the controller at day one launch that quickly got swept under the rug...

    That link goes to where I have said in many replies the Xbox online chat Support... there are many places to get linked to the Xbox chat support... but this Forum is to show Microsoft directly that we are Frustrated with the lack in Quality of their products and how they falsely market the same products as being the best thing around.

    I have done some digging since my last reply while most of the images of a new Elite controller look cool and such there is no way to confirm they are genuine.  They could simply just be a Modded controller in China..  Look up any Iphone Mod video on YouTube and they are all almost always done in China its what they do there in the country make Mods to products that exist.  

    I imagine after the Embarrassment of the Band 2 and the Elite controllers being " Discontinued"  (I have a source as a local EB Games - Game Stop who told me that they would no longer be able to get controllers and may not even be able to honor there own in store paid warranties due to the limited stock and stopped giving such warranties some time ago because they knew the supply would stop)

    This leads me to believe Xbox has either given up on the Elite type controller or are secretly working on a new one.  I have not been able to find any evidence of a new controller or to confirm the Eb Game employees claim of discontinuing but I am still on the look for the evidence.  Once i find some I will actually post a video on my YouTube channel..

    as such to the reply to this comment I think Microsoft knows they disappointing us yet have not openly admired it and spreading the word on other sites is good but Xbox Parent company is Microsoft so Ultimately its the guys in the Ties who make the calls at Microsoft not Xbox.

    If Microsoft or Xbox wish to reach out about this topic I welcome it.  I would even love to be one of the few who test any new prototypes cause clearly them going to "PRO Gamer" for feedback was an epic fail and they did not test the product for more than a few minutes at a time cause if they where given hours to months to test it the Warping of the rubber due to Hand heat would have been discovered early.

    Rhina, why post a link to the xbox forums? Are you actually that obtuse? Those forums are less help than microsoft.

    This is a microsoft product, and a microsoft issue and this is where this complaint belongs.

    Rhina Vib this is not helpful as all posts in the support section are completely ignored. I also have the same issue, I called Microsoft support and was told my controller is 13 months old and out of warrenty. I was also told there is no replacement parts on the market from Microsoft and not to buy a third party replacemnt. the solution i was told is buy a new one. This is ridiculos and is not a solution, your product is defective. Recall is required! Current controllers should be taken off the market and a replacment grip should be made available. Sorry but "Buy a new one" is not enough

    Controller Cost £130 from ARGOS, after 6 months the first signs started showing and now 2 years or so, its nasty.
