How to stop syncing photos in camera roll..?

I had around 5000 pictures in my camera roll(Lumia 540) which were automatically uploaded in my onedrive folder. Recently due to low space, I have transferred all my pictures to my PC. But my phone is automatically downloading from onedrive and syncing.  Even though I stopped syncing, I tried deleting pictures from my phone also. 

How to stop my phone automatically download the pictures from one drive. ?

    If you want photos on either your PC or laptop and backed up to one drive you should be able to stop sub folders of Pictures from Synching on one device. If you put all your photos in a sub folder then select this folder in File Explorer then right click; select 'Choose One Drive folders to sync and unselect the folder with your photos in. This worked for me  

    If you want the photos on One Drive and not on any of your device use Files on Demand - this can be selected in the bottom box on the One Drive settings page. ((double click the One Drive Icon in the taskbar tray then select Settings)

    my issue is with the mobile app , where i turned off the camera upload from settings .. but it keeps uploading all my photos to onedrive

    not sure what phone you have. i have an iphone and in General iphone settings under one drive I turned of access to the camera and in settings from the home page in One Drive I turned of camera upload - this worked and stopped the upload.

    There is no turn off camera upload anymore it just shows my account so I turned that off is that how you did it?

    Hi Brady, yes that is where I turned it off. I selected my account from top left of home screen in One Drive then selected settings and got to the screen you show. 

     The app on the phone has occasionally remined me that it is switched off but I just confirm and so far all okay.

    I did a similar thing on my iPad.
