How to stop syncing photos in camera roll..?

I had around 5000 pictures in my camera roll(Lumia 540) which were automatically uploaded in my onedrive folder. Recently due to low space, I have transferred all my pictures to my PC. But my phone is automatically downloading from onedrive and syncing.  Even though I stopped syncing, I tried deleting pictures from my phone also. 

How to stop my phone automatically download the pictures from one drive. ?

    I have the same problem. The upload feature was already turned off, so Windows still tries to upload the photos but tells me it can't. I have an Android phone (Pixel 2).

    I don't know if this is the same problem, but I think I just figured out how to tell Windows 10 (or maybe it's the Photos app) to stop trying to upload photos every time I plug in my phone.

    In Windows, go to Settings.

    Find the AutoPlay settings.

    Find the one for your phone.

    Select Take No Action from the drop-down menu.

    Where is this deliberately elusive(?) ondrive app...?  And why is this "default"?  Isn't this a violation or invasion of privacy?

    I see the OneDrive app on my phone, which is an Android. I don't think that's the problem, though.

    My problem was that my Windows 10 PC had the Autoplay setting turned on for phones, so when I connected my phone, Windows tried to upload pictures from it because that's what it thought I wanted.

    I would strongly suggest Windows or Microsoft, or whomever the **** is spying on everyone in this unconstitutional manner stop it.   MS  needs to not make this default but rather make it an "option"-only if the consumer agrees to your asinine policies, and makes it perfectly clear that they want to allow you, or otherwise give Microsoft permission to download photos, images, etc.   This is merely my suggestion.  I suggest you all work on fixing this very soon.
