How to stop syncing photos in camera roll..?

I had around 5000 pictures in my camera roll(Lumia 540) which were automatically uploaded in my onedrive folder. Recently due to low space, I have transferred all my pictures to my PC. But my phone is automatically downloading from onedrive and syncing.  Even though I stopped syncing, I tried deleting pictures from my phone also. 

How to stop my phone automatically download the pictures from one drive. ?

    Hi, I also had this problem, and It was very annoying, but I fixed it!

    You have to make sure that your gallery isn't syncing to one drive directly.

    Even if you turn off the "Camera upload" setting in OneDrive it won't stop unless you also turn off syncing in your gallery settings.

    not sure what phone you have. i have an iphone and in General iphone settings under one drive I turned of access to the camera and in settings from the home page in One Drive I turned of camera upload - this worked and stopped the upload.

    I have OneDrive on my PC, Laptop, iPad and iPhone - I have 7000+ photos and want to stop syncing the photos to my PC as it is slowing it down. How do I stop OneDrive syncing photos to my PC, and still keep the photos available in OneDrive when I delete the photos from my PC?

    I see the OneDrive app on my phone, which is an Android. I don't think that's the problem, though.

    My problem was that my Windows 10 PC had the Autoplay setting turned on for phones, so when I connected my phone, Windows tried to upload pictures from it because that's what it thought I wanted.
