Vista will no longer automatically update. Nothing I've attempted works to fix the issue.

Forgot to mention that I had to STOP the Windows Update Service before each new manual update to prevent the endless "Searching for Updates." WU found nothing more for me than the above except for some Optional Updates. It is FINISHED :-)

EDIT - For some reason I did not have Windows Update Settings set to NEVER CHECK while doing the manual updates. That is likely why I had to stop the WU Update Service each time :-(

I was offline the whole time. OUgrad

    Revised Post - Forgot IE9 Update KB4018271.

Only the following newly released Vista x64 manual downloads from the OS link above applied to my PC - see screenshot at bottom - KB4024402, KB4018466, KB4021903, KB4019204 and KB4018271. I have AMD CPU. The others said "does not apply". I am running WU one more time to be sure.

I just installed VZ's recommended (Revised 6-13-2017) two "NEW" Office 2007 Updates and then ran Windows Update as above. WU found and installed several Office Updates, but found nothing new for the OS which I will now install manually. See screenshot below for my Office Updates. I had to use FireFox to upload screenshot - IE9 did not allow Upload. OUgrad
