Announcing: Homeschool pilot program for Office 365 Education

Hi everyone,

My name is Mike Tholfsen, and I am a Principal Program Manager for Office 365 Education, here to talk about a special offer for all homeschoolers today.

On November 14, 2016, we started a pilot program to make Office 365 Education available to homeschoolers across the United States.  This is a limited-time pilot to help us collect feedback and learn more on  how key education tools like Class Notebook, Forms, and Microsoft Classroom can work better and empower home educators and homeschoolers in the comfort of their own home.

Due to overwhelming demand of the pilot, we have already fillled up our inital set of spots.  We are trying to open up a few more in the coming weeks, but for now the pilot is closed.

If you’re already trying out the pilot and need help, we’ll be answering your questions right here, so please read on and post your inquires below.

How do I apply for the program?

Is there any device requirement?

No, we are piloting this program across devices.

    Can you send  mail to Office365 EDU Homeschool <o365eduhomeschool@microsoft.com> with your HSDLA ID and we can try to check

    I'm trying to register my HSLDA ID for the program, but it keeps saying that my ID is not valid or belongs to someone (my ID hasn't expired or anything). I don't know what's going on with this, but I really would like to try the program out. Please Help!

    Thank you for accepting us!  I can't wait to see how this works.

    If we already have Microsoft office that we recently paid (approx. $100 a year) for will this take it's place?  Will this program offer us more than what we currently have?

    Just wondering.

    Thanks for the speedy reply. I went to: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_o365edu-mso_classroom/announcing-homeschool-pilot-program-for-office-365/fecaeabf-6f7b-43eb-bee6-124d1370db22?page=2

    and I don't see the explanation for using Microsoft Classroom. The link takes me to the second page of this same thread we're using here. If there's a specific post where it was answered, and I'm overlooking it, could you tell me the user name of the individual who asked it, so I can find it?
