Announcing: Homeschool pilot program for Office 365 Education

Hi everyone,

My name is Mike Tholfsen, and I am a Principal Program Manager for Office 365 Education, here to talk about a special offer for all homeschoolers today.

On November 14, 2016, we started a pilot program to make Office 365 Education available to homeschoolers across the United States. This is a limited-time pilot to help us collect feedback and learn more on how key education tools like Class Notebook, Forms, and Microsoft Classroom can work better and empower home educators and homeschoolers in the comfort of their own home.

Due to overwhelming demand of the pilot, we have already fillled up our inital set of spots. We are trying to open up a few more in the coming weeks, but for now the pilot is closed.

If you’re already trying out the pilot and need help, we’ll be answering your questions right here, so please read on and post your inquires below.

How do I apply for the program?

I had the same question as Suzanne. Although I do have a phone which is very basic, I wanted to use Office 365 Edu. on my computer, so it's kind of discouraging to hear that it can only be used on a tablet or phone.

Hi Angie,

Do you mean that when you are not able to sign in when clicking the Sign up manually when applying for the program? If so, there is a tip mentioned that “You must have an email client associated with your browser or paste the “mailto:” address into an email”. Make sure you’ve done that already.

If you still cannot sign in, I’d like to know if you are in the US region. Because The Office 365 Homeschool pilot program is available to the first US families that sign up, either with their existing email address, or using a Homeschool Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) ID.

Meanwhile, I’d like to collect the tenant information to forward it to our related team to help you fix the issue.

For privacy concerns, I’ve sent you aprivate message to collect the tenant information. Please reply to it when you have time.

I cannot login to my 365 account. I've put in what I thought was the correct user id, but it is not correct.

Hello!

Now that my children have reached their 10 trial logins it's time to pay for their licences, but I'm having difficulty working where to head to give payment and get an unlock code. Please point me in the right direction.

Hi Angie,

By saying “The device I was using to register with broke mid-process”, I’d like to confirm in which step it stops.

If you haven’t signed up successfully, you may need to sign up again.
