Announcing: Homeschool pilot program for Office 365 Education

Hi everyone,

My name is Mike Tholfsen, and I am a Principal Program Manager for Office 365 Education, here to talk about a special offer for all homeschoolers today.

On November 14, 2016, we started a pilot program to make Office 365 Education available to homeschoolers across the United States.  This is a limited-time pilot to help us collect feedback and learn more on  how key education tools like Class Notebook, Forms, and Microsoft Classroom can work better and empower home educators and homeschoolers in the comfort of their own home.

Due to overwhelming demand of the pilot, we have already fillled up our inital set of spots.  We are trying to open up a few more in the coming weeks, but for now the pilot is closed.

If you’re already trying out the pilot and need help, we’ll be answering your questions right here, so please read on and post your inquires below.

How do I apply for the program?

No, we are piloting this program across devices.

    I signed up for this offer and it was working fine. My laptop died and I had to get a new one. Is it possible to reinstall on my new laptop?

    I am already signed up for the pilot program.  Thank you so much for offering this to homeschoolers.  I would like to be able to download Office to my desktop.  What do I need to do in order to do this? I understand this is not part of what is offered, but wondered if there was a way to do it at an additional charge and what that would be.

    Hi Mike, 

    We were accepted into the homeschool pilot program, but didn't get it setup right away.  Our link no longer works.  Is there a way to get it resent?

    First of all thank you for the pilot program

    OneNote Class Notebooks are used on a daily basis by 4 of our kid's.

    We have found using One Note to be a huge time saver especially when it comes to putting together lesson plans.

    Forms is particularly useful in terms of assessing what the children are learning from each lesson.

    After going through the results i can quickly get an understanding of the learning stage each of the  children are at and concentrate more on where the need help.

    We have only recently joined the Microsoft Educator Community and started to use Skype in the Classroom as part of our curriculum and we have recently took the next step and joined the Microsoft School Program.

    We are now having license issues with Minecraft Education Edition and receiving no reply's from the support team through the following https://education.minecraft.net/support/contact-us/get-in-touch/ even after multiple attempts. 

    Can someone here help us please.
