Windows Live Photo Gallery replacement

Does anyone have a replacement suggestion for Windows Live Photo Gallery? Been using it for a long time. Over 60,000 pictures all with tags. Had to do a clean install of Windows 10. When I went to reinstall Windows Live Photo Gallery it states that as Jan 10th, it's no longer supported and I cannot reinstall it. So what's out there that would recognize my tags? Tried ACDSEE but it doesn't see my tags. Was hopping that there would be a seamless switch as I'm not going to live long enough to re-tag 60000 pictures.

As of this morning, February 4, 2017,

Windows Essentials 2012 download offline installer (Microsoft site) is still available.

Windows Essentials 2012

Support Ended January 10, 2017

Although support has ended, Windows Essentials 2012 programs will continue to work.

Windows Essentials 2012 contains the following programs:

Photo Gallery (Windows Photo Gallery 2012 Build 16.4.3528.331)

Movie Maker (Version 2012 Build 16.4.3528.0331)

Windows Live Writer

Windows Live Mail (Version 2012 Build 16.4.3564.1216)

OneDrive

Windows Essentials 2012 Installer installs Windows Essentials 2012 Version 16.4.3528.0331

The package shows in installed programs as Windows Essentials 2012.

It would be wise to download and save a copy of Windows Essentials 2012 (Offline Installer) to a separate disk as backup.

    Jose - You seem to have the wisest answers on the forum and I'm hoping you can help.  I'm another WPG longtime user with a decade of people tags and other metadata in my photos which now appears unusable.  

    I have tried reinstalling Windows Essentials through forum instructions but it has not helped (WPG will open and generally work for about 90 seconds before crashing and auto closing).

    I would be fine paying for a new photo viewing software IF it would still read all the tags I've placed on my old photos.  I don't care about geotags, but the people tags are essential.

    Do you have any guidance?

    Hi Jose,

    The only thing I did to get WPG is when I re-formatted my hard drive I downloaded Windows Essentials, and it stuck, it has a few quirks, like when editing I use the details tool my photos will go black but it correct's itself when I double click on it.

    I've re-formatted most of my PC's and the same thing happens and I'm able to download it and it works. I sure you're trying to retrieve your photos so this might not be the answer you want to hear. Good luck.

    Also, I haven't found any software besides Lightroom that would collect all your data, I'm sure there are others out there.
