Windows Live Photo Gallery replacement

Does anyone have a replacement suggestion for Windows Live Photo Gallery? Been using it for a long time. Over 60,000 pictures all with tags. Had to do a clean install of Windows 10. When I went to reinstall Windows Live Photo Gallery it states that as Jan 10th, it's no longer supported and I cannot reinstall it. So what's out there that would recognize my tags? Tried ACDSEE but it doesn't see my tags. Was hopping that there would be a seamless switch as I'm not going to live long enough to re-tag 60000 pictures.

As of this morning, February 4, 2017,

Windows Essentials 2012 download offline installer (Microsoft site) is still available.

Windows Essentials 2012

Support Ended January 10, 2017

Although support has ended, Windows Essentials 2012 programs will continue to work.

Windows Essentials 2012 contains the following programs:

Photo Gallery (Windows Photo Gallery 2012 Build 16.4.3528.331)

Movie Maker (Version 2012 Build 16.4.3528.0331)

Windows Live Writer

Windows Live Mail (Version 2012 Build 16.4.3564.1216)

OneDrive

Windows Essentials 2012 Installer installs Windows Essentials 2012 Version 16.4.3528.0331

The package shows in installed programs as Windows Essentials 2012.

    Great!

    Digikam is a good option. Also give Photo Supreme a try, it also reads People Tags.

    Personally I am turning more into using Geosetter for editing the file metadata (Captions, Descriptions, Tags). It does display the People Tag Rectangles, but I am unable to edit them. The app is much slower and may not fit the bill with the scenario in filtering for tags as it is not meant to be a photo organizer per se.

    I am still hopeful to see an update to Windows Photos which allows to add/edit tags as in OneDrive and WPG.
