Im having issues with my Bose QC35, i have successfully installed (or at least i think i did it). But i cant play any sound on them, is like they are not paired at all. After a few minutes the QC35 gets off saying there is no device available.

Just to add, the QC35 are working perfectly fine with my android phone and also other laptop with Windows 10

Bluetooth Devices:

Bose QC35 Properties:

If i go to the operation windows (right click on the BT device icon)

When i go to sound devices i cant see the QC35. (same if i try from Skype, Spotify, etc)

I have already downloaded the latest driver for the bluetooth from Dell, restarted the laptop hundred of times and also contacted Bose without luck

If anybody can shed some light on this i will very gratefull

    Hello Alejandro,

Let us isolate the issue by answering the following:

    • Have you tried connecting another headphone on your PC to make sure that the port is working properly?
    • Do you get any error message when using your headset?

You may also try to perform the following troubleshooting steps below:

Run the fix it for hardware devices and check if you will still encounter the same issue.

Perform clean boot to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install/run a program on your OS. Refer to this link to perform the clean boot in your Windows 7.

    Thanks.

Hi Jemille, see below my comments.

Have you tried connecting another headphone on your PC to make sure that the port is working properly?

what port are you referring to? I have tried with the Motorola buds which are also Bluetooth and they work just fine, also i have my mouse using Bluetooth without issues.

Do you get any error message when using your headset?

No, in fact im not able to use it. Windows is recognizing the headphones but not displaying it as a sound deveice

Run the fix it for hardware devices and check if you will still encounter the same issue.

I did it, no hardware issues found.

Perform clean boot to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install/run a program on your OS. Refer to this link to perform the clean boot in your Windows 7.

Same result, im able to see the bluetooth device on the control devices but not able to reproduce any sound. And if i check the connection from the headphones is like is not connected to the laptop.

You might also want to check on your play devices settings because Windows 7 will not show playback or recording devices by default because they are under the disabled devices.

Follow the steps below to enable the disabled devices:

    1. Search for Control Panel on the search bar on your computer.
    2. Click on Hardware and Sound category.
    3. Choose the Manage audio devices under the Sound option**.**
    4. On the top of the Sound window, click on the either the Playback or Recording tab.
    5. Right-click anywhere in the box where the devices are listed.
    6. Click on Show Disabled Devices so there is a check mark next to it.
    7. Right-click on any grayed-out icons and then select Properties.
    8. Click on the drop down menu beside "Device usage:".
    9. Select on Use this device (enable).
    10. Click OK.

You may also try to update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly by following the steps on this link.

    Thanks.

    2. Click on Hardware and Sound.
    3. Choose the Devices and Printers option.
    4. Look for Bluetooth Devices, right-click on it then choose Remove Device option.

Step 2: Uninstall the Bose driver.

    1. Go to Device Manager, then click the View button.
    2. Choose "Show Hidden Devices" option.
    3. Go back to Device Manager.
    4. Redirect to Bluetooth option.
    5. Look for Bose, right-click then Uninstall.

Step 3: Uninstall the Bluetooth driver.

    1. Go to Device Manager.
    2. Click on Network adapters.
    3. Look for Bluetooth device, right-click then Uninstall.
    4. Restart your PC.

You may now download and install the latest Bluetooth driver for your device/PC, restart your PC, and Pair Bluetooth Headset.
