Im having issues with my Bose QC35, i have successfully installed (or at least i think i did it). But i cant play any sound on them, is like they are not paired at all. After a few minutes the QC35 gets off saying there is no device available.

Just to add, the QC35 are working perfectly fine with my android phone and also other laptop with Windows 10

Bluetooth Devices:

Bose QC35 Properties:

If i go to the operation windows (right click on the BT device icon)

When i go to sound devices i cant see the QC35. (same if i try from Skype, Spotify, etc)

I have already downloaded the latest driver for the bluetooth from Dell, restarted the laptop hundred of times and also contacted Bose without luck

If anybody can shed some light on this i will very gratefull

Had the same issue. After messing around with it for about 3 days, I finally got the QC35's to connect and play music coming from the computer.

    1. Purchased targus bluetooth 4.0 dual mode micro usb adapter at office supply.
    2. Uninstalled bluetooth drivers that my computer came with.
    3. Download the targus drivers and software - It comes with a disc, but I don't have a disk drive on my computer so I had to go to https://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth and download the software/drivers for the bluetooth device.
    4. Once bluetooth device is setup, you should be able to connect your headphones and it will install the drivers needed automatically.
    5. Restart computer and turn your headphones on while booting up. - Not sure if they have to be on or not when the system is starting up because I haven't tried it any other way yet.
    6. Open up your devices/printers and they should show up in there. Double click the headphones icon to open your bluetooth device control and click connect. I have speech recognition disabled because I don't need it at the moment so not sure if it works or not.
    7. Open Audio devices and make sure there is a green check mark next to:

                 Headphones

                 Bluetooth hands free audio

                 Defualt Device

Should be good to go after that!

I can't skip songs from the QC35 when listening on my pc, but it's better than having no music at all to listen to while at the desk. I haven't tried to connect to my phone while being connected to my pc so you can try that at your own risk lol.

Oh btw.... I am running a Dell Latitude E5450 Windows 7 Enterprise 64-Bit

    Hope this helps...

    Hamilton,

Thanks for responding.  The issue occurs with most laptops running Windows 7 (Home and Professional are both cited).   BOSE QC35 headset is not sold with a bluetooth dongle.  Incidentally, BOSE also has taken the position that the QC35 is not guaranteed to work with any laptop, as it is intended for use with tablets and phones.

It seems from this thread that most of the technical issues are around getting the laptop(s) to "speak the same bluetooth language" as you put it.  I have a DELL Latitude E6440, and I have not been able to convince it to talk to the Quiet Comfort headset.  It appears to load drivers and recognize the headset, but does not "pair".  Some people have made it work, with varying degrees of success, by re-installing drivers (INTEL drivers and/or Bluetooth). What I think we really are looking for is a definitive path to make this technology work nicely together consistently.  Having to re-boot to connect your headset (that works for some), is not really practical, but for the vast majority of this thread's users (apparently), the BOSE QC35 is an expensive boat anchor as far as use with Windows 7.  The BOSE QC35 DOES pair and work very nicely with Windows 10, installing, pairing and operating as expected.

    Hi Alejandro,

Hardware and software are factors to be considered for a Bluetooth device to work properly. Devices that don't speak on the same Bluetooth language will not be able to connect or pair with each other.

For us to determine the root cause of your concern, provide additional information by answering the questions below:

    • What is your device model?
    • When did the issue start?
    • Have you tried to remove ghost devices from your device manager? If not, kindly do so and see if the issue still persists. For instructions on how to remove ghost devices, refer to this link.
    • Are you using a Bluetooth dongle or does your device has an inbuilt Bluetooth chip?

We'll be waiting for your response.

This works but having to reboot on reconnect is quite annoying.  Sometimes disabling and re-enabling the driver works but not all the time.  There needs to be a better work around.
