Im having issues with my Bose QC35, i have successfully installed (or at least i think i did it). But i cant play any sound on them, is like they are not paired at all. After a few minutes the QC35 gets off saying there is no device available.

Just to add, the QC35 are working perfectly fine with my android phone and also other laptop with Windows 10

Bluetooth Devices:

Bose QC35 Properties:

If i go to the operation windows (right click on the BT device icon)

When i go to sound devices i cant see the QC35. (same if i try from Skype, Spotify, etc)

I have already downloaded the latest driver for the bluetooth from Dell, restarted the laptop hundred of times and also contacted Bose without luck

If anybody can shed some light on this i will very gratefull

I have a new Dell Precision 5510.  I suspect that one of the things that may have been causing me problems getting my QC35s to work with W7 Enterprise (in addition to the general problems that others have been having with W7) was the image that my employer puts on our machines.  I went to the recommended Intel download center and downloaded what looked like the appropriate Bluetooth driver for my OS.  I noted that there was no previous version of such a driver to uninstall from my machine.  I installed the driver, and the OS began communicating with the headphones (finally, after hours of staring at an icon of headphones in the Bluetooth environment that made it look like everything was set up correctly).  The install created a funky looking icon for the QC35s in the Bluetooth environment, but I don't really care about that, and I expect that it can be changed.  So, thank you for your post Charlie_82VT!

Why do these big companies (like Intel, Microsoft and DELL) make it so difficult to find the answers to problems many of their customers are having?

For anyone else having this same issue, remove the update KB3161608 and KB3172605 mentioned here: http://www.infoworld.com/article/3099109/microsoft-windows/microsoft-yanks-buggy-speed-up-patch-kb-3161608-replaces-it-with-kb-3172605-and-3172614.html

It's now working on my win 7 64 bit version, however I can't get the microphone working just yet.

Shout out to a colleague who manage to get his and my Bose QC35 working.

Hello K4rel, Im glad u can use your headphones with ur computer :) Can u please provide some additional info about your solution? You mention u uninstalled your previous bluetooth driver and then downloaded new Intel drivers. Did they work? Or did it only work with the Lenovo drivers? /BR

Hi Jemille, see below my comments.

Have you tried connecting another headphone on your PC to make sure that the port is working properly?

what port are you referring to? I have tried with the Motorola buds which are also Bluetooth and they work just fine, also i have my mouse using Bluetooth without issues.

Do you get any error message when using your headset?

No, in fact im not able to use it. Windows is recognizing the headphones but not displaying it as a sound deveice

Run the fix it for hardware devices and check if you will still encounter the same issue.

I did it, no hardware issues found.

Perform clean boot to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install/run a program on your OS. Refer to this link to perform the clean boot in your Windows 7.

Same result, im able to see the bluetooth device on the control devices but not able to reproduce any sound. And if i check the connection from the headphones is like is not connected to the laptop.
