Display Dock for Continuum (Firmware)

Display Dock doesn't appear in Gadgets on my Lumia 950, and I can't updated the dock with latest firmware. How do I fix this?

    Microsoft is clueless on how to make great products.... the hardware is oke but software wise they can learn many things from apple. Its just sad that a nice dock like the 500 cant be updated without a phone..... nobody wants to buy a **** windows phone just to update this dock that i use on my huawei.

    So, you open the app and just see the splash screen? If you plug the phone into the dock, nothing happens?

    Correct. Just the splash screen. If I plug into the dock I get the splash and continuum runs fine. Put can't do anything in Gadgets.

    Similarly, if I plug in wired headphones it runs the app I chose months ago, but can't change these settings now. Again just splash if I run Gadgets.

    Hi, I just wondered if you got anywhere with this, I still have the same issue as you. splash screen only.

    did you ever establish a fix of any type for this ?

    Hello,

    I have a 950 XL and having a new HD-500. (It was in the box for a year, but i never used it)

    So 'm trying to use it now, with the original cables but without success :(

    First time i connected the gadget app was saying that it needed to update. After this was done it was requested for a restart. I did this.. but without getting a working situation. If i connect the device i see first a white led, and then a red continue led on the HD-500. If i plugin the phone i get the sound of charging but nothing happens. I deleted the HD-500 in the gadget app.. but nothing helps.

    The gadgets app is:  4.4.1609000 .24.3.1608.2800 and i am running OS build : 10.0.15254.12

    Hope i can find any help here. I like the Windows phone a lot and i want to try this feature.

    I have a Microsoft 500 BLOCK that needs to be upgraded.......I am running a new AlcATel IDOL 4S and I also have the wireless hookup. This is what I have found: I RUN MY PHONE WITH THE mICROSOFT WIRELESS continuum DEVICE,,,,,,,,,AND AT SAME TIME I HOOK UP THE WIRED 500 (BUT NOT WITH THE HDMI CONNECTION), AND I CAN THEN HOOK UP ANY PORTABLE usb DRIVE TO THE MICROSOFT 500 BLOCK, AND CHARGE MY PHONE AT THE SAME TIME....AND VIEW THE FILES WIRELESSLY ON THE SCREEN.

    uSING THE mICROSOFT 500 CONTINUUM DEVICE WITHOUT THE UNAVAILABLE UPGRADE OF THE DEVICE DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO SEE ALL OF THE TV SCREEN. THAT IS WHY I HAVE HAD TO EXPERIMENT TO FIND THE ABOVE WORK-A-ROUND............GO TO WORK MICROSOFT, AND UPGRADE THE 500 CONTINUUM BLOCK (WITH AN UPGRADE I CAN UPLOAD ON MY ALCATEL IDOL 4S)

    I think you have other issues because like Ewan I also do not have any issues

    Gadgets app version 4.4.1609.2000 4.3.1608.28000 is also working fine on a 950XL with the fast ring 15031 build.
