2016-04-16T18:04:43+00:00 I picked up a Zune 30 at a garage sale, and am having trouble updating it. I tried the base version of downloading the zune software, and the MSI files, and that didn't work, kept getting error C00D133C, so I tried the method of downloading the Rar file, and the server, and followed all the instructions, and it is getting 1 step further, now it identifies that I don't have the most recent version at least, but then after clicking accept, I am getting the same C00D133C error. I am running Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1. According to the Abyss server, I am getting an error hit each time I try to update it. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
Ian
Edit: Never mind, missed the step of moving the CAB files to the HTDOCS folder. This worked. Thank you very much!

2016-04-27T19:58:55+00:00 I tried this, and it worked like a champ, on XP no less.
The process of extracting the firmware files from the msi was a little tricky, because I don't think the command line extractor liked the spaces in my file paths. So, I chose folder names without spaces, and the extract worked.
I used the Abyss Web Server, and had no problem setting it up.
Follow the instructions on the link above, and you'll be reloading your Zune firmware, Microsoft be damned.
Thanks to those who figured this out.
