zune offline firmware update
for all you guys that need to restore your zune. ya need to do a 20 gigs partition with win 7 ultimate updated +.net framework all versions installed + zune software 4.8 + firmware update installing msi (x86 or x64) :
http://fichiers.touslesdrivers.com/30841/Zune-Firmware-x86.msi
http://fichiers.touslesdrivers.com/30842/Zune-Firmware-x64.msi
this will be restoring all zune models ;D
update 04/06/2016 : a little link with allmost all zune hd apps
update 04/09/2016 :
zune software download
https://www.microsoft.com/es-mx/download/details.aspx?id=27163
- make a 20 gigs partition on hdd
- .install win 7 ultimate edition
- install net framework 3.5.1 + all win 7 updates.
4 . install zune software 4.8 and zune firmware msi- (x86 obviously in 32 bit or -x64 in 64 bit system)
- plug the zune to computer. it will be downloading the last version of zune drivers
- start zune software and update screen will be displaying in main zune softs screen . thats it.
when you double click zune firmware-x86 or x64 the msi package install FW .cab files in: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Zune\Firmware Updates
and firmware update.xml emulates online mode for restoring ;D
EDIT: FIRMWARE OFFLINE RECOVERY WILL WORK ONLY ON WIN 7.

2016-04-14T12:59:49+00:00 Thanks for this, have just found this after almost giving up on a fimrware updste for my ZuneHD. I feel I'm a step nearer getting my ZuneHD working!
Trying all of your steps on Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit.
The x64 package reports back as corrupt during install. The x86 package installs the five firmware update files in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Zune\Firmware Updates. Maybe packages labelled the wrong way around? I definitely have a 64 bit system.
Anyway regardless of that I assume the firmware files are the same files in both msi packages.. as we don't have a 32 or 64 bit zunes ;)
The PC Zune software (4.8.2345.0) when started still appears to try and check online for firmware and fails with the code C00D133C
Any ideas how to get past this?
I've checked my device manager for the Hardware IDs of the zune portable device, mine reports as
USB\VID_045E&PID_063E&REV_0100
This matches one of the entries in the FirmwareUpdate.xml file so I believe I'm heading in the right direction.... Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you again for your efforts, I'm sure I'll get there in the end..
