Thank you for posting your instructions. I just bought a used zune hd that would not sync and kept asking to be updated. I was starting to give up hope until I found your posts. It took me two days, but in going back and forth over all the posts here, I was able to figure out what to do and what I was doing wrong. Your video cinched it. I plugged in my Zune, said "here goes nothing" and the firmware updated. You are a lifesaver. Thanks again.

2016-08-08T03:47:26+00:00 your hosts file its wrong . please copy and paste my hosts file in your pc and reboot it. paste file in c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc folder and replace old hosts
EDIT :
you got 3 extra 127.0.0.1 "servers" . genuine.microsoft.com..... mpa.bla bla bla
mic.com and sls. bla bla bla. just leave 127.0.0.1 resources.zune.net but leave just 1 full line of space before ya put it in hosts . now i will need a picture here in post to check if everythings ok
please take your time to check video and leave all the very same way i shown in it. please read all post and watch very carefully the video ( erase the 3 "server lines. yall not be needing them anymore and BTW if ya can upgrade to win 10 i sugest you to do it ! )
