Can anyone help me with wlm error code 0x8007007A? I get this message whenever I try to send an email. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

error code 0x8007007A

I'm sorry that no satisfactory explanation of this error or resolution for it has been posted in this thread despite its age. This is most likely because the error is program-specific and independent of the operating system, so the question should have been asked in the program forum, not the one for a particular version of Windows. The original poster wasn't to know this, of course, but the moderators involved should have moved the question to the right place.

This error arises because you tried to send a message including a photo album. This feature no longer works as a result of changes at OneDrive, where the photo album would have been stored had the changes not taken place. This means that the message is now stuck in your outbox and may be preventing subsequent messages from being sent. The outbox is below the account folders in the folder pane:

Remove any unsent messages from the outbox, then compose a simple test message with a unique subject and send it to yourself. Post any new error message in your reply.

The error has nothing to do with the account being used to send messages, so removing and re-adding this account will have no effect on it. Nor will repairing the installation, which ensures that all the program files are present and correct. There's nothing in the error message to suggest that there was anything wrong with them in the first place.

    Did a repair and then I deleted my primary account per your direction, a gmail account.  Now when I try to add it again, after having to add the settings manually because, of course, Microsoft apps couldn't figure anything out on their own, I get THIS crap trying to actually add my account back into this Live Mail crap.  

    Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non-network errors. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system.

    Configuration:

       Account: Gmail (ter*********55)

       Server: imap.gmail.com

    What a garbage OS.  Just crap.  Wouldn't even have Windoze in my house but for the fact that my work software is PC only.  

    My solution AND suggestion to any fellow WIndoze sufferers?  Uninstall Windows Live Mail.  Go to a 3rd party email client.   

    That's what I'M doing.

    I need to do the same.  The free version of Outlook that they are pushing is a joke.  What other options would you recommend for email?

    Best I've found is Mozilla's Thunderbird client.  Only reason I relented and started using Live Mail was because with the latest 10 update, I'm getting the ubiquitous Windoze 'not responding' errors. (If I had a nickel....) Wouldn't put it past MS if they'd written code into Windoze 10 to screw up 3rd party software.  But it's a robust program, and until I find something more stable, I'm back with it and trying to identify a potential conflict with something else.  You might not have the issue depending on what version of Windoze you're doing battle with.  ;)  Cheers.

    I found a way around:

    • Create a Hotmail account.
    • Add to your Windows Live Mail.
    • On account properties on Windows Live Mail untick the box to sinchronize mail on this account.

    The box messege of log in that appears every time you try to attach pictures will not show anymore, and you dont have to use the Hotmail account.

    There you go, solved for me!
