windows live mail error code 0x8007007A

Adding the (six) pictures (and an mpeg file) to my Live mail message as 'loose' attachments (paper clip in main screen) by selecting them one by one, (thereby avoiding the creation of a MS photo album in my message) seemed (appeared) to solve the problem.

I'm sorry that no satisfactory explanation of this error or resolution for it has been posted in this thread despite its age. This is most likely because the error is program-specific and independent of the operating system, so the question should have been asked in the program forum, not the one for a particular version of Windows. The original poster wasn't to know this, of course, but the moderators involved should have moved the question to the right place.

This error arises because you tried to send a message including a photo album. This feature no longer works as a result of changes at OneDrive, where the photo album would have been stored had the changes not taken place. This means that the message is now stuck in your outbox and may be preventing subsequent messages from being sent. The outbox is below the account folders in the folder pane:

Remove any unsent messages from the outbox, then compose a simple test message with a unique subject and send it to yourself. Post any new error message in your reply.

The error has nothing to do with the account being used to send messages, so removing and re-adding this account will have no effect on it. Nor will repairing the installation, which ensures that all the program files are present and correct. There's nothing in the error message to suggest that there was anything wrong with them in the first place.

I don't understand what I need to do to fix it ??

Nick -- I found if U use "attach file" and click on the first pic U want to send, the screen will show U have attached a pic..to get more pics on the same email, now click on "insert" ... that will get you back where U can attach another pic...once done the screen now allows the "attach file" option for additional pics..

Actually, you're describing the use of another feature, it doesn't solve the issue.

There are indeed 2 distinct features in Windows Live Mail to send pictures

1- sending pictures as usual file attachments. That's the feature you're describing. 

2- publish a set of pictures as an album in OneDrive cloud. It's the features that doesn't work anymore.

The drawbacks of the 1st feature are that (i) pictures are not automatically resized, (ii) some of your recipients will only be able to open image after image (no slideshow) and they will likely give up after the first ones (it depends on the mailer they use), (iii) your photos and albums are not stored on Internet (no easy share, no easy retrieval).

Because of this issue, I'm now using another cloud storage service. And because the contextual "send to" is not working anymore, I'm thinking about using another mailer.
