New firmware update for Lumia 950/950 XL: 01078.00038.16025.390xx

Hey all,

we have started rolling out a new firmware update for Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL: 01078.00038.16025.390xx. Key improvements in this release include:

  • Stability fixes.
  • Improvements for GPS reliability.
  • Improvements for call audio quality.

The availability of this update may depend on your phone model, region or network service provider. At the time of writing this post, the update is available mainly for selected open market variants, but the rollouts should continue gradually during the coming days and weeks.  

Windows 10 is updating continuously, so make sure you follow all the update notifications that appear on your phone. To check for updates, you can also tap Settings > Update & security > Phone update > Check for updates. For detailed update instructions, see.

    Looks like the roll out has been stopped IMO. Not hearing of anybody getting the update since Feb 4.

    Yeah I've not seen or heard anything about it since the start of this thread.

    Yup. Looking at other forums on the web and nobody has gotten the FW after the initial batch on February 3/4th. All signs point out to a interruption of the deployment IMO.

    And Now there's  a New Fast Ring Release 10586.107.  Wonder if I should go back to Fast Ring to get it, then come back to Production to wait on the February Firmware update?

    you don't need to go back to get the firmware update (when it's available). Windows Insider users can use this trick: http://aka.ms/insiderfirmware
