Hey all,

we have started rolling out a new firmware update for Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL: 01078.00038.16025.390xx. Key improvements in this release include:

  • Stability fixes.
  • Improvements for GPS reliability.
  • Improvements for call audio quality.

The availability of this update may depend on your phone model, region or network service provider. At the time of writing this post, the update is available mainly for selected open market variants, but the rollouts should continue gradually during the coming days and weeks.

Windows 10 is updating continuously, so make sure you follow all the update notifications that appear on your phone. To check for updates, you can also tap Settings > Update & security > Phone update > Check for updates. For detailed update instructions, see.

If you are a Windows Insider user, see. Note: this does not affect general firmware availability.

    Why?

Please, re-visit this statement… (just today, the last phones got OS .107).

Beside that, Microsoft Mobile failed to explain this to me in the past, too—over the past twenty years! Obviously, this is one of the risks we end-users have to take, when going for a mobile phone from Nokia, now Microsoft Mobile. Microsoft Mobile does not leverage Microsoft Answers as feedback channel. Why ever. Therefore here, this question drowns in the Internet swarm. Instead, Microsoft Mobile wants us to return the phone (or change the Product Code ourselves).

@Armagon, by the way, do you know how OS updates are distributed – is that the Product Code too or something else?

I like this word "soon" but just now I can't use RM-1104 CV A6 in the car !!! Problems with Bluetooth and GPS connection resolved in .38 firmware but not visible for this variant. Weeks, weeks after official release to Germany, Italy, Scandinavia, MEA. Why ??

February OS update (10.0.10586.107) should be now available for all the users, and we are working on continuing the firmware update rollouts soon.

Still waiting for firmware. Product code 059X5W2. Now on build 14267 insider. Phone still reboots randomly daily, with or without Bluetooth on or off.
