New firmware update for Lumia 950/950 XL: 01078.00038.16025.390xx

Hey all,

we have started rolling out a new firmware update for Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL: 01078.00038.16025.390xx. Key improvements in this release include:

  • Stability fixes.
  • Improvements for GPS reliability.
  • Improvements for call audio quality.

The availability of this update may depend on your phone model, region or network service provider. At the time of writing this post, the update is available mainly for selected open market variants, but the rollouts should continue gradually during the coming days and weeks.  

Windows 10 is updating continuously, so make sure you follow all the update notifications that appear on your phone. To check for updates, you can also tap Settings > Update & security > Phone update > Check for updates. For detailed update instructions, see.

    Not mine. Same terrible situations all two months I have 950XLDS. Even on last build.

    Thanks for the update.

    Would it be so hard to include a preliminary schedule with product codes, so we could have an idea when our specific phone might be targeted?

    Seconded! Would be great to see which combinations are released and which ones are live vs staging.

    Any improvements of BT stability? Phone disconnecting during  calls in my car makes me angry.

    FWIW, W10M Build ".71" has seriously stabilized my BT car connection. Hopefully it will for you too.

    Same question: how about the BT stability?
