Week after week we hear the request to add the ability to navigate music collections by folder in the Groove app. We're thinking about how to build it the right way and would love more detailed feedback.
How do you organize your collection by folder? A folder per album? A folder per artist? A folder by season?
Once we expose your folder structure in Groove, how do you expect to interact with them? Play buttons on each folder? Should your folders be included in the "Add to" menus?

Whatever you do folders for playlists please! I make a lot of playlists and having one long list of them can be annoying to have to sort so please folders for playlists that we can drag around and organize how we want (See Spotify).
Also any chance of getting family pricing (i.e. Spotify, Google play music, Apple music, etc.)?
My collection is mostly classical and organized by folders for composers, and folders for albums within each composer folder. The ability to navigate by folders would be very useful. So would the ability to navigate by composer.
Many classical albums contain multiple discs. Groove currently sorts the tracks within such albums by track number instead of disc, then tracks within each disc. This scrambles all the track 1s together, then all the track 2s, etc. Most players do a better job of this. It would also help to have a setting that allows one to display the composer field in place of the artist field for classical music buffs (and there are lots of us).
It would also be ideal to have Groove capable of storing album art in AAC and ALAC files, and any other format capable of this. I have wanted for years to escape iTunes, which does most of the above.
I'm creating one folder for each artist. And there I create one folder per album! That's it =) I'm very excited and lookin forward for this feature!
Music - folders by genre, with albums. I do not know any of the artists, so that is no help. The playlists from iTunes moved over to Groove on my PC, but they have not migrated to the new smartphone. I do not use the cloud.
Now I encountered an issue.
IF the Music on PC is stored in several folders, we used always Media Player to copy music to the smartphone.
This way we did not need to dive into all folders to look for it, as Media Player listed us the titles from all folders.
Why don't you allow syncing tracks in Groove with W10 Mobile or other portable players, as we had with WMP?
It's an important feature, not everyone has the Music in the Cloud.
