New software update for Nokia 222/222 Dual SIM: 20.05.11

Hey all,

we have started rolling out a new software release for Nokia 222 (RM-1137) and Nokia 222 Dual SIM (RM-1136): 20.05.11. You can update the phone software using Nokia Software Recovery Tool, find the instructions from here. Availability of the update may vary depending on your region and network service provider.

Latest software release for Nokia 222/222 Dual SIM is 20.05.11:

  • You can now download apps from the Opera Mobile Store.
  • Camera usability improvements.

    You have got a phone designated for Italy. Your retailer flashed to another variant somehow. Then, the Recovery Tool went for a firmware variant which comes with a different set of languages. Therefore, please, continue there…

    first of all thanks for your reply, i do not know why i did not see it sooner,

    my phone is 059X2Q1 and model: RM-1136,

    i have updated my phone by installing NokiaSoftwareRecoveryToolInstaller,

    it connected to network and automatically did it --> i could not select anything/variant.

    i have bought it from Dubai airport.

    looking for your kind solution.

    Hamed, how did you update? With your phone (Series 30+), the installed languages (for reading and writing) depend on the firmware variant. The variant is identify through that 7-letter (Product) Code which is printed underneath the battery (cover). That code starts with 059. What is yours? Your retailer might have flashed it to another variant and therefore your update re-flashed it to its original variant. Therefore: How did you update?

    Hello Friend

    i have updated my phone Nokia 222 dual sim,

    but it is not support Farsi / Persian language.

    i can not read received sms in Farsi.

    how can i have Farsi / Persian / Arabic language on my Nokia 222 dual sim?

    Rajendra, what exactly is your question? If English is an issue, you can use your mother tongue as well. In any case, please, dial *#0000# and post your current Software Version. Then, remove the battery of your phone and post your Product Code (a 7-digit code starting with 059…). If you face issues with the Recovery Tool, please, continue there…
