I have the same issue and it is now 25th June 2016 - has Microsoft done anything about this?
My Luminia 650 is up to date as far as i know?

With my new Lumia 650 running Windows 10, I have a serious problem with Wi-Fi, occurring daily.
At some point the device becomes unable to connect to any Wi-Fi access point, whether previously known or discovered with Wi-Fi Sense. I have observed this both with WPA access points at home and at work, and also with unencrypted public hotspots in the city.
In the Wi-Fi settings screen, I can see it repeatedly attempts to connect to one of the access points available for automatic connection, but then reverts to disconnected state.
Turning Wi-Fi off and on again does not solve the problem. Only after turning the device off and on again it becomes able to connect.
Did anyone else encounter this problem?

Also here: After the latest update I finally got a wifi connection loss after a week. Also got to reboot to get a connection to my wifi network again. Please Microsoft, fix it!
I have a different problem though I think it's related. The Lumia 650 cannot hold a data connection when I turn on mobile hotspot and connect the laptop. It lasts at most a few minutes then the data connection drops out altogether. I have to turn off the mobile hotspot, turn off the data connection, turn off the phone. Then start the phone again, turn on the data connection, the mobile hotspot. Then repeat the cycle after a few minutes when it drops out again.
I've put the sim card into the old phone (Lumia 800 with Windows 7.8 mobile) and there's no problem. Therefore there's something wrong with the Lumia 650 or Windows 10 mobile.
The phone is great otherwise, but not suited for purpose the way it is.
Update: After lots of restarts, finally the connection is holding. Fingers crossed it works from now on in.
Another thing I noticed, it doesn't happen when I'm connected to open hot-spots (no WPA encryption). So it shouldn't be difficult to sort it out by Microsoft developers. TBH I'm not sure if anyone from Microsoft is reading this thread at all?
I don't believe Microsoft gives a damn! This is my third and last Windows Phone . Galaxy S7 Edge, here I come!
