Lumia 650 loses Wi-Fi connectivity until reboot

With my new Lumia 650 running Windows 10, I have a serious problem with Wi-Fi, occurring daily.

At some point the device becomes unable to connect to any Wi-Fi access point, whether previously known or discovered with Wi-Fi Sense. I have observed this both with WPA access points at home and at work, and also with unencrypted public hotspots in the city.

In the Wi-Fi settings screen, I can see it repeatedly attempts to connect to one of the access points available for automatic connection, but then reverts to disconnected state.

Turning Wi-Fi off and on again does not solve the problem. Only after turning the device off and on again it becomes able to connect.

Did anyone else encounter this problem?

I had the same problem, now I changed my wifi settings on the router to 802.11 b/g/n instead of b/g and 20/40MHz instead of 50 Mhz and another channel. So far no problem but my problem didn't occur every day. If this turns out not to be a working solution I'll report back. A few days now with this setting....

    It's not you!

Neither your routers, repeaters or access points.

It clearly is an annoying blocking bug in that Lumia 650!!!

I'd liked to hear or read about this before I decided last week to buy one after the price had dropped.

Did anyone try if the Windows Insider fast ring preview version (build 14385.0) solves the issue?

Check 20/40 mhz connectivity in your router. Selected that in my router, going on 4 days without dropped wifi. Also noticed performance improvement using internet.

Even if it's true (which I doubt) it's just some workaround. You can't just go around and ask people to tune their WiFi Routers just because some bug in your phone :)

I experimented with switching to WEP 104 bit encryption, and still the same.

It's not about one router. It's about switching network problem, hotels, workplaces, public and private wifi hotspots. Just sold this piece of junk and bought Lumia950. No problem with routers, networks, home or office. So why would I even need to setup a router or change it's settings. Those times are gone. It should work out of the box and that's what it's doing now.
