Zune Marketplace disappeared today

No problems here downloading or playing downloaded DRM music through the marketplace using Zune software. I can also use the Groove player, both apps running on Windows 10 PC. I still can't stream music using Zune software so I have to preview music in Groove, if I wish, before downloading in Zune. Once downloaded I can p.lay it using Zune software. Haven't synced music with one of my players lately, but I believe it's working, certainly playback of previously synced music is. It does require syncing every 30 days.

As far as forgetting your log-in/password whatever, there must be a way to retrieve that. What you DON'T want to do is change your user ID, if you can help it. I think that causes all your downloaded DRM music to be unusable since it was downloaded under the previous user ID.

When I try playing a DRM song I had previously downloaded through Zune, I get error code C00D11E2 (C00D271D).  When I try to download a new song, I get code C00D12F5.  Both are related to media usage rights.

Without trying to recreate those specific codes, let me GUESS what is happening, at least this is what happens to me.

Sometimes music that was available in the marketplace (and was downloaded) is no longer available. Occasionally, the same album or something very similar is released, perhaps with the MP3 option available for format purchase. Try this: move a track from the album by dragging it outside the Zune folder system, such as on your Desktop. Then open the Zune software.Highlight the album in your collection, then right click and choose More Information option in the marketplace. Does it show as "Not available"? That's a clear sign that the album is no longer available. Look for the same album elsewhere in the marketplace. If available, download it and delete the non-working version and its files.

The other situation you describe might be harder to pin down. Does it always happen when you try to download a new song? Have you tried other albums, other songs? Have you restarted the Zune software? Have you logged off and logged back into the Zune software user account?

Again, check to see all the keys describe on 7/20 post are installed.

It does not show as not available.  There is a link to download the track, but when I click it I get the media rights error.

Hmmm...media usage error.

I think I've tried this Microsoft tool but I WOULD NOT recommend it. I think I lost my entire library and had to restart my DRM collection from scratch:

You cannot play a Windows Media DRM protected file or a Zune DRM protected file on a computer that is preconfigured with Windows 7

Are you logged into Zune software? Can you go to Account, Summary, and sign out and sign in again?

If you go to Account, Computers and Devices, is the computer you're using showing up under Computers? By the way are other devices or computers showing? You can have up to 4 total.

What version of Windows are you using?

Can you use Groove on the computer?

That's all I can think of for now.
