Hey folks,
We are starting to rollout a new firmware update today for Lumia 950/950 XL: 01078.00053.16236.35xxx. Key improvements in this release include:
The availability of the update may depend on your phone model, region or network service provider. Starting today, the update should become available for the first batch of phones and the remaining ones are expected to receive the update gradually.
Windows 10 is updating continuously, so make sure you follow all the update notifications that appear on your phone. To check for updates, you can also tap Settings > Update & security > Phone update > Check for updates. For more detailed update instructions and troubleshooting, see.

If you are going to flash, there is a great tutorial on Windows Central 950xl forum. It's called 'fed up with waiting, get it now' by top tech guy Pepperdot.
This thread will show you how to change your product code. The one I tried on my other 950xl is 059x521. Basically an 000-88 model FW. Works well. It DOES not flash the firmware, it changes product code. When changed, you can force FW via WDRT, although mine picked up OTA.
IF YOU PROCEED TO FOLLOW THIS PATH, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK. THIS MAY HAVE IMPLICATIONS ON YOUR WARRANTY, OR DAMAGE YOUR DEVICE, AND IS NOT RECOMMENDED NOR SUPPORTED BY ME
Standard prompt card reply by MS. Maybe they are making sure ours actually works ;-)
This will only change the device code?
You can always change it back?
I'm looking 000-88 000-HK
I live in Asia
If you just change the product code to be upgraded
I put the code into 059X5F1
This is a RM-1085 VAR APAC HK CV BLACK
000-HK 000-88
You should not have any impact on the mobile phone does not it?
