Key improvements in this release include: Wi-Fi connectivity improvements, including fixes for Wi-Fi connection dropping randomly and Wi-Fi scan occasionally not returning any results. Support for double tap to wake enabled. Bluetooth connectivity improvements. Stability and reliability improvements. Camera improvements, including improved image and video quality, improved Auto-focus and fix for a problem that was causing slow motion capture to skip frames for some users. Cellular connectivity improvements, including fix for a problem that caused occasional network loss for some users. Audio quality improvements, including fix for a problem that caused voice call audio to get scrambled for some users. The availability of the update may depend on your phone model, region or network service provider. Starting today, the update should become available for the first batch of phones and the remaining ones are expected to receive the update gradually. Windows 10 is updating continuously, so make sure you follow all the update notifications that appear on your phone. When are Microsoft going to fix the Email notifications so that I can get a sound ( have got notification on the live tile & lockscreen ) I love my 950 but its irritating that it's missing that basic functionality!!

Did you even read the link I put up with the info that a tech report put out and have a comment from Microsoft? Did you read the comments from the readers from the source Windows central? I get all my news from there my friend they have a very good track record with there info about Microsoft and Windows phones good day sir LOL, no. I stopped reading when you insinuated I was confused on the difference between firmware and an OS update. Here's what Microsoft initially posted about the new firmware: "The availability of the update may depend on your phone model, region or network service provider. Starting today, the update should become available for the first batch of phones and the remaining ones are expected to receive the update gradually." Even Windows Central mentioned it on the day it was announced, "For those on AT&T or phones that do not yet have the update, it should come out over the next few weeks. AT&T's turn-around time is usually about 10 days, though it can vary." ALL US-based firmware OTA's are subject to the service provider issue since AT&T officially carried the 950 and all 950 and 950xl's sold through Microsoft may be used on AT&T. I didn't get my info from user comments on a website, I got it from a Microsoft employee on the device team over a week ago. My hunch is my information is quite a bit more credible and accurate. The fact that I provided a complete list of every single 950 variant and whether the firmware was available or not seems to have done nothing for you. Let me guess, you go to settings and check for update CONSTANTLY, don't you?

Understood. So what's the timeline for ATT, US market? It's entirely up to AT&T at this point. Microsoft is ready to pull the trigger (or push the button as they call it) but AT&T has to give their blessing first. Once they do, it will go out immediately. Unfortunately, I don't have the contacts at AT&T anymore so I can't find out anything from them as to it's status. The Lumia 950 was not a huge seller for them so it's not a high priority. -Mc
