How to undo a "scheduled folder"

So, on my phone, I accidentally made one of my folders "scheduled."  Now that folder has a clock next to it's name instead of a folder icon.  I don't know what I did to make that happen.  I don't know what a "scheduled" folder is.  I don't know what benefits I get from having a "scheduled" folder, but I don't want it to be that way.  In fact, I attempted to delete the folder on the outlook.com web app, but the "scheduled" folder continues to appear on my Android Outlook (formerly Acompli) app.

Can anyone tell me how to undo what I've done?  And can anyone point me to any documentation which would explain what a "scheduled" folder is and why I might want one?

I find that I keep doing this on my iPad. Maybe it is the five-finger pinch to minimize an app that is causing the problem. I think one finger partially swipes a message to the right which is one way to create a scheduled folder. The problem is: there is no undo for this action. Your only choices are to choose a scheduled folder or to create a new one. Tapping on the screen off the dialog box does not make it go away. Minimizing the app also fails to dismiss the dialog box.

What I've resorted to doing is choosing, "Select a scheduled folder", THEN I can X out/cancel the process resulting in no change.

The workflow needs to be streamlined here. Cancel and Undo options should be integrated.

Edit: If you don't want to use scheduled folders, I've found an easy, safe, and even useful workaround for this UI oversight: Go into Outlook Settings, Mail section, Swipe options. There change what swiping left and right does. I've changed mine to "mark read" and "flag". Neither is dangerous, and swiping has now become useful.

    Hello,

I have managed to set one of my folders as "Scheduled" as well and the advice above about how to change the Scheduled to be a different folder no longer seems to work.  What is the way to change this?

    I have App Version 2.1.98 (159) mainline

    Many Thanks,

    Adrian

Yes. The above instructions are definitely dated as there is nothing in "advanced settings" that deals with the scheduling folder location.

I've poked around on my O365 account and O365 Outlook.  I can't find anything that deals with the scheduling folder either.

    Hello,

I raised a ticket with Microsoft App Support (which was very helpful).  Their recommendations were to try resetting the app and then to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.  The uninstall and reinstall work and corrected the issue.

I've reset my outlook app, no results.

I then uninstalled and reinstalled. When I signed back into Outlook, the folder I don't want as my schedule folder was still selected.

Never was prompted to select a schedule folder.
