How to undo a "scheduled folder"

So, on my phone, I accidentally made one of my folders "scheduled."  Now that folder has a clock next to it's name instead of a folder icon.  I don't know what I did to make that happen.  I don't know what a "scheduled" folder is.  I don't know what benefits I get from having a "scheduled" folder, but I don't want it to be that way.  In fact, I attempted to delete the folder on the outlook.com web app, but the "scheduled" folder continues to appear on my Android Outlook (formerly Acompli) app.  

Can anyone tell me how to undo what I've done?  And can anyone point me to any documentation which would explain what a "scheduled" folder is and why I might want one?

    Hi, 

    To solve that, i'm using the outlook Windows app (with Windows 10 version and app include in office 2016 pack). 

    Just delete the folder witch you want.

    Hello,

    I made a new folder and moved all my emails from the folder "education" (which has unfortunately become the scheduled folder). I then proceeded to delete the education folder (on outlook.com), but it keeps reappearing when I log into the app again (it's again a scheduled folder and has returned on outlook.com). I've tried renaming it, from outlook.com, but whatever I do it either changes it's name back to "education" or reappears after deletion. 

    Any idea how to just get rid off it or at least rename it to "scheduled" (or something else) as I do not want it to keep the name "education". Thank you

    Hi Scott,

    I renamed the Scheduled folder back to the original name on the PC. It seems to be fixed.

    I wonder what scheduling does and I hope it will not delete emails on a "schedule"!!

    The Android version of Outlook imports its settings, folders, etc., from the common PC version of Outlook.

    I was able to edit the folders in Outlook for Android by editing Outlook on my desktop PC.  :)
