Same story here but, yesterday I did a full factory reset and new installation. Today after normal use now (9 hrs) 40% left. In the morning still lightly warm. Used phone, bluetooth, wifi, location services, navigation (1.5 hrs). So sounds normal. Keep you posted. Fingers crossed. I was ready to sent it back.. Hopefully not because functionall use is great.
Lumia 950 battery drains rapidly
My Lumia 950 was at 95% battery today. I had it in my pocket for 2 hours and didn't take it out once or use it in any ways. After 2 hours I pulled my phone out and it was at 72% and it felt very hot. Is this the experience others are having with their Lumia 950 or does this sound like I may have a defective phone and/or battery?

2015-12-16T18:06:27+00:00 This is pretty much my same story... as of a few days ago the phone began frequently telling me I am almost out of storage although I barely have anything on there and the bulk of the measly storage that is being used is "system files. Before I got this message the battery would last for days. Now I can make it four hours if I am lucky and that is with very minimal use (a text or two... checking email once etc). When I take it off the charger at 100% within 30 mins it is down to 80%... with no use. It's crazy... Oh, and yes, since this issue started it is always a little warm. I don't have anything running in the background. I don't have any added apps. When I check my battery usage it says it is almost all system and over 50% display... but hello the display isn't even on (I don't use glance). It's driving me crazy and makes the phone almost useless. It is also taking way longer to charge and will continue to drop battery if I try and use it while it is plugged in. I have tried restarting, taking the battery out, etc... and of course all the stupid battery saver tips with no improvement what-so-ever.

2015-12-16T00:49:34+00:00 I think you're right, I had all the options On and it was working just fine for several weeks and then yesterday it suddenly started draining so fast.

2015-12-15T12:16:55+00:00 I had this issue and the phone was very warm most of the time. While following up on your post I found that Edge was using over fifty percent of the power. I stopped it running in the background, and the battery life improved a bit, but the phone was still warm. I then noticed that Edge will apparently open unlimited tabs. I had a massive number running and so I closed most of them. Phone now has much better battery life and runs very cool. I think Microsoft should possibly have an option to limit the number of tabs open at once.

2015-12-14T19:24:54+00:00 I have a fairly recent Lumia 950 Dual SIM (with two SIM cards), and so far the battery time has been abysmally low. On average it discharges 10%/hour under very light use. I have Glance and Window Hello enabled, and fully expect a premium phone like the 950 to last me 1-2 days without having to disable any of its defining features.
The battery stats for the last 24 hours are:
System: 24%
Screen: 54%
Wi-Fi: 3%
Mobile: 19%
Background apps make up 24%, with no single app contributing more than 10% of the total.
The OS version is 10.0.10586.0 (yes, I haven't been offered the update). Firmware 01078.00017.15452.59010, HW 2.1.6.2.
This issue needs to be #1 priority to fix (with the general flakiness of OneDrive as a close #2).
