The second I turn on Battery save to stop background sync......the battery work waaaaay longer and the phone does not get hot...

My Lumia 950 was at 95% battery today. I had it in my pocket for 2 hours and didn't take it out once or use it in any ways. After 2 hours I pulled my phone out and it was at 72% and it felt very hot. Is this the experience others are having with their Lumia 950 or does this sound like I may have a defective phone and/or battery?

2015-12-17T18:54:20+00:00 I did a hard-reset to get the update, and that worked. Note, the phone will show the reset stuck at 0% even though it's not really, for quite some time. I had no issue with the reset other than that mostly cosmetic issue. (Putting aside the fact I had to hard-reset to get the update....)
After the reset, my battery improved noticeably, but is still no where near my HTC One M8. As others have noted, something is going on in the background. Edge clearly shows the highest battery usage, even though it shouldn't (it's 35%, and the next is 15%). I notice that syncing with onedrive is inconsistent, and that might be part of the issue.
Just a thought, but I've noticed that Chrome on the pc eats my pc (SP3) battery, and really eats cpu cycles. I wonder if, since Edge is now a Webkit browser (right), if that is a Webkit issue?
Clearly, Msft needs to fix this. Stuff is going on in the background that doesn't need to be, and that is killing battery life. Hopefully they get this fixed.

In an effort to analyze this from a pure data perspective I've been keeping my eyes on different metrics - data usage, battery, etc - and over the course of 3 hours 'System' has used 200MB and I've done nothing but try and figure out what the problem is with this phone.
I just looked at the Data Usage screen and I see that ATT has been replaced with 'Maritim' and it's increasing but I haven't leave my home office/wifi.
Also, it's worth saying that since all of this started happening Windows Hello stopped working.

i cant get the update. Says it already updated even though its not. I also joined insiders and activated slow and fast rin. Still no updates.
whats funny. If i charge to 100% at night and disconnect charger. The phone battery i great. Will not sink at all for several hours. The second i use it after 0700 the drain starts.
omething is happening in the background.also. Writing on this forum via pjone is slow as ****. I can see the letters ten seconds after i write them.

2015-12-17T16:25:50+00:00 Between work meetings and my reluctance to pull the trigger I haven't done it yet. I had a brief moment of clarity and theorized that nothing was downloading because the system thinks I'm out of stpace. I deleted 3GB of music and nothing changed; I have 21GB free and I'm still getting the error. If I am correct the fix to fix the storage error will never download. I don't think I have a choice at this point but to reset.
