Lumia 950 battery drains rapidly

My Lumia 950 was at 95% battery today.  I had it in my pocket for 2 hours and didn't take it out once or use it in any ways.  After 2 hours I pulled my phone out and it was at 72% and it felt very hot.  Is this the experience others are having with their Lumia 950 or does this sound like I may have a defective phone and/or battery?

My lumia 950 is getting very hot and battery drains very quickly. It stays hot even when it in pocket. Battery goes draining when in use. I very disappointed with the battery life.

This morning Dec. 17, I updated to 10586.29. Days before this version was pulled. This morning it worked. All day my phone did not get hot whether charging or not. Still have a full battery. I'll report back tomorrow.

My symptom, too: at about the same time a few days ago I started getting messages that memory is low, even though the phone is only about 40% full, and the battery life when gonzo. Also some weird things started happening in some apps, like clicking a notification in Facebook would launch Edge instead of going to the post in Facebook.

I thought the storage space message was maybe related to me putting a 128GB SD card in, and maybe the percentage of phone disk was skewed by that, but from these posts it seems like it is more generic.

Last night it would not even recharge after a night on the wireless charge pad. So I am doing a reset as I type. I'll post the results.

Update after the full factory reset, second day. Today more intensive use from 6.30 till 21.45 battery 20% left.

Used navigation plm 1.5 hrs, call plm 4 hrs most with bluetooth device connected, wifi and bluetooth on, nfc not in use. most battery use by display 71%, system 24% mobile data 3% wifi 1%.

This is for me acceptable. no warm battery or else.

I went through the pain of the factory reset and then received the update.  Will see if that helps the battery drain.
